It was fine for 1 night. I could hear everything that everyone was saying and doing in their rooms. EVERYTHING. The place wasn't busy and they put all the guests in the same hallway. It was clean though and the clerk was great.

Convenient location nearish downtown. The staff were chatty and kind. Great Wall insulation meant we didn’t hear the neighbors or their many dogs. The outside is cheery and inviting.

It's not a B&B so breakfast not expected but had great muffins available, coffee & tea. Lovely converted farmhouse. Homey, cozy, relaxing, folks super friendly there. Would make it my go-to place. Flexible in assisting guests.
My son lives here. It’s a beautiful community with historic homes, lovely parks, river, kids riding bikes, everyone is friendly. It’s almost Mayberry. So much to see and do. Great restaurants, and not the same old chains. Small business is honorable and thriving.

Salida is a cute town full of historical elements. It is a great place to lay back and have a peaceful and relaxing vacation. It is small but big enough to get away from the city life. There is much to do here, as it is the heart of the rockies! Salida is a great place to go.

Salida is a great mountain town that is dog and skater friendly and has a thriving art scene and modern downtown district. Also, located near so many great mountain attractions: Monarch Pass, Mount Princeton Hot Springs, golf, numerous hikes and biking trails, and of course the best, Great Sand Dunes! I would recommend a stay here to anyone! (Try to stay a week because a long weekend just isn't enough.)

Its a quaint, small Hotel with a nice room. We were travelling with our dog and that was accepted, maybe for that we got a larger room at the side which was prefect. They had a to go breakfast and Coffee and Juice to get you out the door in the morning. We enjoyed our stay, we went skiing for 3 days and it was the perfect place. Walking Distance to some restaurants, a park/playground. My daughter left her beloved stuffed animal and they texted us about it and send it back to us, which was so wonderful!

Salida is a delightful town.
Salida is a delightful town.
We loved Currents Restaurant and Riveting Experience Jewelry - we got to design and make our own jewelry pieces... great experience for a group.
Love the walk around the river and delightful shops downtown.
The hotel was located right at the base of the Colorado Collegiate Range of mountains. There is a local hill with biking and hiking trails just down the street. White-water rafting and many city activities are available within minutes. The amenities inside the room made it feel more like staying at a family member's house. For example, the coffee provided was an actual container of grounds from a local coffee shop. The coffee cups themselves were small, decorative ceramic cups.
The description and pictures of the room were spot on. The room was completely remodeled clean and comfortable.
The bedding was very nice .
The breakfast was very good. Strong coffee, straight orange juice and milk. Nothing watered down.
Good sausage, real eggs and pancakes. No cheapskating!
I have 2 small dogs that are my ESA ANIMALS with proof of documentation and they honored that. No extra charge per night for my girls. Will definitely rebook again.
Older but updated “Mom and Pop” hotel. Comfy bed, with plenty of pillows and extra blanket. Plenty of hot water in the shower—hand held sprayer. TV directly across from the bed. 2 luggage racks. Small table with two comfy chairs. I was surprised that this small space also had a nook with fridge, microwave and coffee-pot (with fresh ground coffee). Parking just outside the door. Quiet area. 3 minute drive to downtown. Pet friendly. Exceptionally clean.
Don’t be put-off by the ‘Hostel’ here. This is a hostel with private rooms as well . The rooms are clean, and very comfortable. You can access the hostel’s kitchen and every morning there is coffee and home baked muffins.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, giving us lots of info on where to eat and what to do.
The hostel is an easy walk into Salida, which is a beautiful town and a great place just to hang out
Enjoyed 2 nights in this modern, attractive hotel...Salida is a fun small Colorado town located near many other scenic destinations and activities...good hot breakfast and nice room with nice view (rear of hotel)...short drive to downtown where many restaurants are located...didn't expect to see surfers on the Arkansas River in the local park...staff was helpful and friendly...would stay again
The whole design concept was great. The retro feel worked, and the little red mini fridge was cute as a button. The bed was great, there was a hairdryer, and toiletries, and the shower was wonderful. towels were plush. Nice place. The check in gal sent me to a great place for dinner and I really loved that recommendation.
I will stay here again when I return to Salida!
Great location! Staff was very friendly every time we interacted. Upgraded our room for free. Room was very nice. Clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable! Hotel and area felt very safe. Hot tub was wonderful after our long days. Very clean! View from hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was small but worked for us. Would gladly stay here again!!
We had a remodeled room that was exceptionally clean with a new door locking system. It was very user friendly and the entire property was very well kept and clean. Breakfast was standard motel fare. The historic area of Salida down near the river is quite charming and we very much enjoyed our stay.
The owners are lovely people and gave us good advice for dining in Salida. They are new owners and have created a nice courtyard for grilling and lounging, garden, and a little stream runs through it. They have plans for upgrades and special features like sauna and soaking pool.
Room was very clean and furnished better than I expected. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Exceeded my expectations for a hotel rated only 2 stars. Made up for some other poor experiences at other hotels on this trip.
Browns Canyon Inn felt like staying with friends. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the decor was cute. It was a fantastic alternative to other stale and ordinary hotels. I look forward to returning.
This is a pretty good place to stay. For a hostel - it's great. We travel a lot and stay in hotels that cost from $75 to $300. This is not a $300 place. But, its a great $100 place.
The hotel has been completely redone, and the rooms are very nice. We had a room in the back, and it was very quiet and well furnished. The staff are great, and the room is very clean.
