We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit.
We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit. This place magically does that for us . It's our second time here in 10 years and I don't like to revisit places but this is our magical place. The Alley House was a great delight! The crime free atmosphere was refreshing. It is a destination to behold. There are few places like this to experience.

Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers!
Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers! Many options for walking/hiking. Abundant lakes in and near the city if you love to fish! Very nice walking trail that follows the river through town.
The hot springs are ok if you like that sort of thing, but are on the pricey side.
Not so great: Not many dining options (a lot of the restaurants seem to be closed on Sunday) and seem to lean toward brew pubs and burger joints.

Charming little town with a lot to offer. We loved hiking the short trek to Treasure falls, soaking in Hippy Dippy Hot Springs along the snowy river, walking the town, delicious breakfast at Pagosa Bakery and a delicious dinner at Riff Raff on the Rio.

Scenic, friendly town on the western slope.
Scenic, friendly town on the western slope. Nice downtown area, restaurants and shops available. A hot-air balloon was flying overhead one morning. Enjoyed Made in Colorado, and Pagosa Flowers. Took a scenic drive north of town to Piedra and enjoyed seeing the beginnings of Fall aspen colors. Traffic was often a challenge on US 160.
We booked this hotel because it looked like an affordable alternative to staying at the hot springs, but honestly did not know what to expect. What a pleasant surprise! The rooms were clean and spacious. They looked to be either recently renovated or just really well maintained. I liked that they kept the pet friendly/no pet rooms separate as I have allergies to some pets. Staff were very helpful and friendly. If we had stayed longer we would have tried the pool and hot tub as it looked very inviting.
My first choice was cancelled from booking site. And I'm so glad it was, Fireside was exceptional, clean beautiful cabins, lovely view of the river and pet friendly, we brought our Husky who travels with me quite a bit. Bed was comfortable, kitchenette had everyhting needed. I fell in love with the place immediately and my. mom who stayed in another cabin felt the same. We will be back!
The place was well-equipped kitchen and a washing machine and dryer which are big pluses for me. It is big enough for a family of 4-6 people having a master's bedroom and two extra bedrooms downstairs with two full baths and a powder room in the living area. Also, it is just across the road to the edge of the lake. In all, it is a great place to stay and relax in Pagosa Springs.
We had visited this property in January and enjoyed it a lot. Amazing spot to stay in Pagosa Springs with a Mountain View, 15 minutes for Walmart and 15 for Pagosa Springs Thermal Resort. Highly recommend to hike on the Piedra river trail - 20 mins from the property.
If you are visiting this area during winter - be prepared for heavy snowfalls by cleaning the driveway :)
We really enjoyed the mineral springs pool and hot tub. The pool area was kept very clean and Healing Waters Resort is in the middle of the quaint town of Pagosa Springs amongst the San Juan River and the public springs. The river walk, shops and restaurants were just steps from the resort. We would definitely stay again when we return to Pagosa Springs 👍
The ranch owners are so nice here, the view is the most breathtaking view you'll ever see, and the lobby/cottage was very clean. Breakfast is with everyone in the lobby and it's a pretty cute ordeal. The breakfast is homemade by the staff, which really act like family, so not like a regular hotel. Worth every penny to stay here,
It was a lovely, well equipped town house in a residential area away from downtown Pagosa Springs. There are many restaurants nearby and a wonderful supermarket. We brought a lot of food from home and were pleased with the amount of dishes, glassware, utensils, and appliances.
Room was clean, parking was ideal for someone towing a trailer. Beds were comfortable, location was quiet.
Was surprised with no one on site for check in like a traditional hotel, but this was not an issue for us, it was unique.
Sandy at the front desk was wonderful. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool, very clean. The breakfast was a big plus! Comfortable beds & great location, it was right in the midst of all we took in during our stay.
A nice quaint hotel with excellent service and the price compared to other hotels in the area was unmatched. This is newly renovated hotel was awesome and I will definitely stay there again.
Individual, well-equipped, and nicely decorated cabins. Charming and comfortable. Loved the slate mountain-scape decor! Fireside even provided towels and blanket for our dog.❤️
The room itself was clean and comfortable. The hot baths were really good; you could tell the water was straight from the hot springs. The stay was enjoyable.
