We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit.
We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit. This place magically does that for us . It's our second time here in 10 years and I don't like to revisit places but this is our magical place. The Alley House was a great delight! The crime free atmosphere was refreshing. It is a destination to behold. There are few places like this to experience.

Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers!
Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers! Many options for walking/hiking. Abundant lakes in and near the city if you love to fish! Very nice walking trail that follows the river through town.
The hot springs are ok if you like that sort of thing, but are on the pricey side.
Not so great: Not many dining options (a lot of the restaurants seem to be closed on Sunday) and seem to lean toward brew pubs and burger joints.

Charming little town with a lot to offer.
Charming little town with a lot to offer. We loved hiking the short trek to Treasure falls, soaking in Hippy Dippy Hot Springs along the snowy river, walking the town, delicious breakfast at Pagosa Bakery and a delicious dinner at Riff Raff on the Rio.

Scenic, friendly town on the western slope.
Scenic, friendly town on the western slope. Nice downtown area, restaurants and shops available. A hot-air balloon was flying overhead one morning. Enjoyed Made in Colorado, and Pagosa Flowers. Took a scenic drive north of town to Piedra and enjoyed seeing the beginnings of Fall aspen colors. Traffic was often a challenge on US 160.
Beautiful ranchlike location outside Pagosa Springs. The hostess was friendly and helpful. We stayed in an apartment which was very convenient. The whole complex of buildings would be great for a small family reunion. Very nice kitchen and bathroom areas. The hostess was very helpful in figuring out road conditions over the near by passes. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. Interesting western decor. Parking was very easy. There is a gas fireplace which provided warmth and a cozy environment.
The place was well-equipped kitchen and a washing machine and dryer which are big pluses for me. It is big enough for a family of 4-6 people having a master's bedroom and two extra bedrooms downstairs with two full baths and a powder room in the living area. Also, it is just across the road to the edge of the lake. In all, it is a great place to stay and relax in Pagosa Springs.
Breakfast not included. Excellent location. Convenient to everything we wanted to do while in Pagosa Springs. Excellent recommendations offered for coffee places, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cabins were in a quiet area just outside of town. Especially loved the open grassy area with chairs and tables alongside the San Juan River.
Healing Waters Resort offers a variety of accommodations at a most reasonable price point. It was a perfect choice for my brother and myself for a weekend getaway stay in Pagosa Springs. The room was clean, the hot spring experience was terrific and the staff was most helpful.
It’s a family run hotel, and the staff, at least one of whom was part of the family, was very helpful and friendly. This is rare to find these days.
I also like that it backed up to a little park on the estuary at the river. A very nice place to take a walk.
Great location right downtown Pagosa Springs.Walking distance to the hot springs resort , restaurants & shops.located in beautiful quiet neighborhood surrounded by nature & deers ! They came to hang out in front yard everyday.
Good location, pretty courtyard garden in back and decent sized room. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The indoor hot tub and pool looked appealing though we didn’t have time to use them.
This motel is well-located on the edge of Pagosa Springs and is easy to access and park ... not common in this town. It's convenient to restaurants and the rodeo fairgrounds. Lots of hot water for the shower!
Great little hotel! It was clean and comfortable and the staff were great. The lobby was especially nice, and they have a decent breakfast with standard hotel options. My friend and I enjoyed our stay here.
What a place! We absolutely loved it! Beds were huge too! Breakfast was spectacular, specially the crepes! There were horses, dogs and hummingbirds in the hotel, and plenty of elks on the road.
Very nice cabins. Was concerned about lack of A/C but it turned out we didn't need it even though it had been a hot day. Stream was nice, nice place to walk on grounds. Would recommend!
Best stay ever! Very comfortable bed and the bathroom was perfect. Hosts provided soap, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer. So much better than any Pagosa hotel. Super clean too!
Spacious room, nice veranda and possibilities to sit outside. Best is the private mineral water pool and healing water hot tub! Downtown, close to the river!
