Their complete breakfast was very nice to wake up to every morning before our daily adventures. This breakfast included hot items like waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage and potatoes. The usual continental breakfast items like fruit, yogurt, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee, tea, bagels, and toast were also available. The hotel also has a pool and a sauna which were very nice. As another added touch, the hotel serves popcorn and cookies in their lobby later in the day, which is a super nice for welcoming late arrivals who have been traveling all day.
Featuring Victorian style décor, this hotel is located in the town center of Durango. All rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi. A limited Continental breakfast is served to guests daily.

Beautifully restored Victorian hotel at the south end of town. Beautiful furniture and lamps throughout, and a really cool old elevator. Excellent location to walk to just about all there is to see in the downtown Durango. Very very clean! Unlike other restored hotels we've stayed in, water, electricity and wifi access was excellent and the solid construction of the structure made the room super quiet. Hot breakfast was included which was a definite plus. And parking available! We loved it!

Full kitchens and a helpful staff. They had the best Gluten Free breakfast I have seen in any hotel. Udi’s muffins, and gluten free waffles on a separate waffle iron. The staff was helpful getting us rooms near each other as well.

Very nice to have the hotel next to the river and have a room with a balcony and river view. The room and bathroom were a good size and well set up. There were a good selection of breakfast items a nice seating arrangement with big windows or the option of sitting outside. There is also a secure underground parking available.

Durango was great. The riverwalk through the heart of town is great - watch out for bicycles though! If you drive 2-3 hours in any direction you can see some of the most beautiful places in the country. North into the San Juan Mountains, East through the mountains to Great Sand Dunes, West to Mesa Verde, Arches, Canyonlands, and Monument Valley, and South to Santa Fe.

I lived in the Durango area for several years and had to move away. This was another revisit. The main attraction is the railroad. I have taken the Cascade run and it is a wonderful experience. I believe Durango has a good mix of acitivites for young and old. There are so many great restaurants and children appear to be welcome. It is a tourist town, yet I have always found that customer service is great wherever I go. There are galleries and books stores and toy stores. There is so much history to glean with exciting stories of the settlers and the miners in the area. Then of course, the outdoor activities are year round and endless. The mountain views are topped only by the ones in Ouray and Silverton in this area.

I stayed at this hotel twice and by the third time I booked a room I was priced out. each booking significantly was more expensive for the same time frame each booking. I would have stayed there again, but got priced out.

We liked The Office for dinner and live music. We were surprised we couldn’t find good Mexican food.

Cost of living went through the roof during/after the pandemic. Durango is experiencing a housing crisis. Stunning location and close to beautiful country. Spirit of the town has changed dramatically over the years. Spirit of the mountains and surrounding area is naturally the same. The town feels kinda fake.

A nice town. Touristy, but nice.
A nice town. Touristy, but nice. Great Hotel, older, small rooms, but very nice. Very close to D&SNGRR depot, so very handy for us. Nice town, but, perhaps a bit pricey overall. But, we knew were on vacation, and we certainly enjoyed our stay.
Very old and broken down motel. The price is way too much for what you get here. Durango is very expensive and this place being one of the cheapest places to stay shows this. There is no room service here during your stay. I don't fault the workers there it is just not enough I think for the price.
The check-in was quick and easy, friendly staff. Hotel was clean and comfortable and in a safe area. Close to downtown Durango and Animas river.
Breakfast was good, lots of choices.
Fresh baked cookies in the afternoon and fresh popped popcorn til 10pm.
Hotel was historically decorated right down to the elevator. Located on Main Street in the middle of historic Durango. Also next to train station for the historic Durango/Silverton ride. The staff was very polite and accommodating. Wonderful experience!!
Period furniture with a real story. Amazing bar with Darryl the pianist. Period lobby, bars, cafes and great staff. The whole ambience of the hotel is worth paying for. Great location for the Durango to Silverton steam railway.
You can tell it is an older property, but it is very well maintained and clean for its age. The room had been recently updated. Rooms were a comfortable size. Compared to prices at other hotels in Durango, this was a bargain.
Great price and conveniently located near all the events we went to. A few minutes down the road is downtown for a good shopping trip or a bit farther up the road is Durango Hot Springs for some outdoor relaxation time!
The hotel is well located not far from the downtown area. The breakfast was attended well and surprising they even had a pot of green chili. The deer that came each morning to the breakfast patio was memorable.
Beautifully presented old style hotel in the heart of Durango. Rooms were large, beds comfortable and the period decor wonderful. Staff friendly and helpful. Small Elevator available for luggage.
It had an indoor pool/hot tub, it had breakfast options, it was very close (walking distance) to downtown Durango, the beds had a lot of pillows and the room fridge was big, which we needed.
By far the worst hotel experience in my 42 years of travel. Awful awful awful and ended up getting refund and going to the local Comfort Inn Durango, which was above and beyond!!!!
For a hotel in Durango, it could use some up-grading. Also, when a previous guest has a dog that poops on the carpet, it should be cleaned more thoroughly than it was.
