Beautifully restored Victorian hotel at the south end of town. Beautiful furniture and lamps throughout, and a really cool old elevator. Excellent location to walk to just about all there is to see in the downtown Durango. Very very clean! Unlike other restored hotels we've stayed in, water, electricity and wifi access was excellent and the solid construction of the structure made the room super quiet. Hot breakfast was included which was a definite plus. And parking available! We loved it!

Great location, view from the room was really nice. Food from the restaurant was good but pricey and they were understaffed. Reservation desk employees were very pleasant and helpful.

Durango was great. The riverwalk through the heart of town is great - watch out for bicycles though! If you drive 2-3 hours in any direction you can see some of the most beautiful places in the country. North into the San Juan Mountains, East through the mountains to Great Sand Dunes, West to Mesa Verde, Arches, Canyonlands, and Monument Valley, and South to Santa Fe.

I lived in the Durango area for several years and had to move away. This was another revisit. The main attraction is the railroad. I have taken the Cascade run and it is a wonderful experience. I believe Durango has a good mix of acitivites for young and old. There are so many great restaurants and children appear to be welcome. It is a tourist town, yet I have always found that customer service is great wherever I go. There are galleries and books stores and toy stores. There is so much history to glean with exciting stories of the settlers and the miners in the area. Then of course, the outdoor activities are year round and endless. The mountain views are topped only by the ones in Ouray and Silverton in this area.

Cost of living went through the roof during/after the pandemic. Durango is experiencing a housing crisis. Stunning location and close to beautiful country. Spirit of the town has changed dramatically over the years. Spirit of the mountains and surrounding area is naturally the same. The town feels kinda fake.

A nice town. Touristy, but nice.
A nice town. Touristy, but nice. Great Hotel, older, small rooms, but very nice. Very close to D&SNGRR depot, so very handy for us. Nice town, but, perhaps a bit pricey overall. But, we knew were on vacation, and we certainly enjoyed our stay.
The room we stayed in was newly remodeled and very comfortable. This hotel is ideally located in Durango for hikers finishing the Colorado Trail. The city trolley ($1) that’s stops out front is ultra-convenient. The staff were pleasant and professional. On-site laundry facilities was a huge bonus for hikers. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the small patio area by the hot tub area.
Wonderful apartment. we stayed two nights and felt very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you need. The bed was very comfortable and cosy. the staff was helpful and very friendly. washing machine and dryer comes for free, so does the hot tub on the roof, which we loved. thanks for having us Durango.
The setting was beautiful, quiet and in the country but only 20 minutes from downtown Durango.
The host was wonderful and the house stocked with items you didn't even know you needed.
Hosts are very easy to work with and the farm cat was welcoming as well.
Great facilities. Beautiful location well situated close to many attractions. The lodge has a well equipped gym as well as pool and outdoor bbq grills. Grounds are surrounded by beautiful mountains outside of Durango and local golf community.
Chose this hotel for the location -- on the river and an easy walk into downtown Durango. It was clean, appeared new, and the staff was very friendly. Underground parking in a secure garage. Had a balcony, but didn't use it due to the weather.
The breakfast was fresh, hot, plentiful, and a wide variety for complimentary. There was coffee, hot tea/ hot chocolate 24/7, which was nice. The location fit our needs. Close to grocery, restaurants, and downtown Durango. 👍
I’ve stayed at the hotel many times over the years. It’s always a good experience. My room was big, I had a river view, on the top floor and over all, quiet. The pillows and sheets were clean and comfortable.
We rode the Durango steam train, and the hotel was just a couple blocks from there and so convenient! Close to downtown restaurants. Beautiful historic hotel. Coffee offered every morning.
The man working at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The location was good - close to many restaurants, a grocery store, and downtown Durango. The room itself was clean.
We’ve visited and stayed a few times before and loved the historic hotel and location. We loved the bars and live music and excellent service in the bar despite lack of staff.
Hotel is beautifully maintained. Convenient to all that downtown Durango has to offer. Loved the antiques in lobby and room. Beautiful outdoor deck. And wonderful staff.
Staffs are friendly, good location on main street, only 1 miles walk to downtown or can take city trolley, big room, and comfort with amenity, good restaurants nearby.
For a hotel in Durango, it could use some up-grading. Also, when a previous guest has a dog that poops on the carpet, it should be cleaned more thoroughly than it was.
It is centrally located to Durango's downtown, shops, attractions- within comfortable walking distance. Room was OK, I purchased breakfast outside the hotel.
