Updated, quiet, calm, and clean property fitting the chill Truckee vibes. Kids will love all the hot breakfast options as well as the sunny pool/spa plaza. Most of the staff was friendly or even exceptional. We had a few problems with room keys and a noise issue (not their fault) that staff kindly resolved. Walking distance to a few restaurants. On-site laundry and general store provided exceptional convenience. Heater & a/c worked perfectly. Lots of room to spread out on-site, including a generous Cafe area, library/sunroom, and lovely interior courtyard. 10/10 would stay again.

Nice property. Good location. Rooms are nice, but the inability to control lights individually was an issue. My husband was in Truckee for a medical procedure. The lighting in the room cannot be controlled individually, so if the lights are on in the sitting room they are also nice and bright in the sleeping area. Bathroom the same. We had a pet room and the carpets were very dirty. Good breakfast, depending on staff shift, most were helpful. Expensive for what it was and $100 pet deposit. Probably wouldn’t choose again.
This Truckee town center hotel offers free Wi-Fi and a daily continental breakfast. Elevator tickets to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Sugar Bowl, all within 15 minutes’ drive, are available on...

My recent stay was an absolute delight from start to finish. Everything was impeccably maintained, and it was evident that cleanliness and hygiene were top priorities for the hosts. Each morning, I looked forward to indulging in a hearty meal that featured locally sourced ingredients and homemade delights.

2 bedroom villa is massive and can easily accommodate a large group of people. Kitchen is fully stocked. Large spacious bathrooms. Large open-concept living space and lots of areas for storage and this is important since ski gear tends to be bulky! Lots of closets and hangers etc.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The weather outside was cold but the room was well heated with plenty of blankets. The location was excellent with easy access to restaurants and right across the street from the lake. The city of Truckee is very charming. You have the old Truckee down town, with restaurants, museums and all kinds of store to buy souvenirs and merchandise. Then you have the new Truckee down town that have grocery stores, banks, pet hospitals and more restaurants. The bike path along the river is vantastic, you can ride a long distance or short distance. Beautiful pine trees with the river running thru it. Alpine bliss.

We loved Truckee much more than the busy areas around Lake Tahoe. Truckee is a charming little village. We had really good brunch in town followed by quite an amazing hike around the Donner Summit and the Mount Judah Loop trail. Absolutely loved the Donner lake and all the little rivers and mountains around town.

If you want to get away from the city, but you aren't sure you want the touristy crowds of Lake Tahoe, then come to Truckee and Donner Lake. A great downtown area with restaurants and shops, but not overdone. Endless hiking trails and running streams/rivers everywhere (this was early June). I will be headed back to Truckee every year to breathe and relax and watch both the sunsets and the stars.

Very understaffed no one at the front desk for most of the time we were there. We arrive for breakfast at 9 AM and they said eggs would be done in a few minutes, we waited 20 no eggs were ever made we had very little food for breakfast and they were screaming kids everywhere. There were crumbs and rainbow sprinkles all over the floor and the place was dirty. Sadly I can’t say I would ever recommend this to anyone anyone because there are simply not enough staff to accommodate all of the gas that showed up and paid for a service that they did not get.

We go to Truckee usually a couple of times a year and really enjoy the small town feel. The shops are of good quality clothes and home decor. We have had great times shopping there and look forward to finding cool items. There are several cafes, bars/restaurants, and cantinas to choose from within a 4 block stretch as well.
Staff did its best to help/accommodate needs… but still under Covid restrictions so only so much they could do. (No daily maid service/or delivery of supplies to room- breakfast all individually wrapped items- mask required). Hotel followed guidelines and were very friendly trying to make the best of opening :) . Not luxury hotel, but clean, quiet, comfy and can walk to Donner Lake State Park! It was a relaxing stay.
Beautiful location by Donner Lake. We were surprised to discover a nice little sauna as part of the hotel. Room is standard and clean; the mini kitchenette is stocked with plates, bowls, utensils, etc, and a fridge and microwave. Don't miss the Little Truckee Ice Creamery. Great location for various ski resorts in the Donner Summit area, including Royal Gorge (cross country skiing).
A modern mix of rustic and industrial feel that is so in vouge now. We selected the executive studio and was amazed at the size and accommodations over all - more than any couple would ever need. Truckee is a 5 mile distance so a vehicle would be needed to fully experience all that the area offers - which is quite a lot. Great jump point for Lake Tahoe as well.
The fact that the place was sober with hardwood floors and contemporary. Good layout and possibility to have a workspace in the upstairs with out disturbing the others. Good natural lighting in the house. High ceilings. Warm atmosphere during day time. Like the sledges in the garage. Cool space and cool house! Just 7mn from main action in Truckee, yet quiet.
The two Villa we had was amazing in terms of space and cleanliness. Location was also good, very close to different beaches.
We didn’t use the other facilities like spa, fitness center etc so I don’t know if they were good or not but I suppose yes. They have the gondola literally inside the hotel.
Great location from ski resorts like Boreal mountain and Tahoe Donner. 5 minutes driving from Truckee Downtowns where you can find a lot of nice restaurants.
The sofa-bed is not very comfortable, but good enough to sleep there a couple of nights.
The bathrooms are old but clean.
Very nicely appointed quality hotel, Breakfast was excellent. Beverage dispenser in the lobby offered coffees and other hot beverages 24/7. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. This is our third stay and would return again.
The rooms are very spacious. We were traveling with our 4 year old so snacks and activities start to spread out quickly. The hotel itself was a great location near the freeway and the main town of Truckee.
many hotels have a pathetic mr. coffee machine in the room. The Inn at Truckee has a pretty decent coffee/hot chocolate machine in the lobby that is free 24 hours. powdered supplies, but still good.
Spacious, pretty house. I liked the VHS collection, very nice touch. Beds are great, and the place is huge. Nice area too, you have sauna and pool just a few steps away. Recommended.
Homely place with friendly and very helpful hosts. It’s a long way from home for us but if we come back to this area then we would definitely stay here again. First class.
The room was very spacious with a beautiful interior design. The staff was very nice and the hotel served a good breakfast with fresh fruits and lots of choices.
