The big whirlpool bathtub was great. Took a minute to find the switch to turn it on, which was on the wall next to it. Also, the king bed was very comfortable. I didn’t try the coffee and stuff for breakfast in the morning, but there’s an IHOP right next-door five guys in a block McDonald’s right across the street and walking distance to the beach.

Fun having the fire pits, Adirondack chairs, holy board on site. The pool wasn't open for the season but they have nice cabanas to use. The whole vibe was fun. Happy hour with beer and wine was nice.

South lake Tahoe is a nice place to visit.
South lake Tahoe is a nice place to visit. I love the fresh air and the smell of the Sierras. The restaurants are okay, they try to make you think that they have all this amazing dining experiences, but they're just pretty much mediocre everywhere you go.

It's very difficult to figure out where to go to play in the snow & parking is a nightmare wherever you go. Traffic is bad. The casinos don't even try to entertain you or tease you. The slots just take your money without even stringing you along. The slots totally sucked, especially compared to Indian casinos & that includes all the casinos in South Lake, as well as North Lake.

Wow, haven't been to South Lake Tahoe in about 6-8 years and what a HUGE difference. It's become more commercialized and not as "homey" as it once felt. A lot of the older establishments are out of business with new stuff and construction taking over. The mom and pop restaurants we went to were pretty bad. It's gone down for charm, but up for convenience. Great groceries. Whole Foods, Safeway, Grocery Outlet... few bakeries, but we were shocked at the prices. $4.25 for a bear claw pastry! Still, it's beautiful and still worth the trip. Heavenly ski resort now requires reservations for parking on the weekends. They charge for cars with less than 3 people.

S. Lake Tahoe is fine for those seeking to shop, visit casino, night life however if you want to get away from the crowds and experience nature you are better off finding accommodations on the North side of the lake.

The location is great and close to stores and beach.
The location is great and close to stores and beach. They allowed pet in the area as well and the area is very quiet and safe. The only this we don’t like is no rug for the bathroom and the entrance door. They put a white towel instead. And the window or vinyl were dusty. Overall we love the place and we had a great stay. I would recommend this to family and friends.

Checkin was quick, very friendly and perfect. The Hotel is located in the woods. It has a very nice lodge and woody design. Outsstanding design. Have a look at the Hotel website.... We loved it. The rooms are cosy nice and clean. Beds are comfortable we had a restful sleep. Room had a little fire place which was lovely and created a warm. I would definetly book it next time again when going to south lake tahoe. Checkout was as well very quick + good, but we didn't loved it becasuse we had to leave :-)
We had a king room - it was huge! Cute outdoor and Lake Tahoe themed decor and linens. Felt higher end at budget prices (we stayed in May so perhaps shoulder season pricing). They give you the room cards with a little booklet with all kinds of helpful information about the hotel complex and the Lake Tahoe area (best hikes, etc.). Fancy pour over coffee sachets provided. So much thought seems to have gone into making everything a cohesive Lake Tahoe themed experience.
The hotel was really nice with a big bed room and balcony. The room has a fridge, coffee maker, microwave, television and two very comfortable large beds. Ice machine and common room also available. The hotel has a pool and hot tube. The lake is just across the road, walking distance to the nearest beaches and local shops. Plenty of dinning options near the hotel.
We've had the pleasure of staying at Elet multiple times this year (2023). The hotel boasts an excellent location, affordable prices, inviting and comfortable rooms, and, perhaps most notably, an exceptionally friendly staff. This becomes even more noteworthy when comparing it to other nearby hotels, many of which often lack one or more of these key features.
The overall experience was great. The staff were friendly and the amenities like S'mores at night and jacuzzi was perfect addition to the stay. Our building was a little off to the side and the construction going on during the stay was a bit disruptive. However, for the price and the quality, this hotel is definitely good.
Very good location in center of South Lake Tahoe. Excellent, friendly staff. Excellent pillows—not those foot-high, rock-hard pillows the hotel chains use. Didn’t use the two (2) pools, but other guests seemed to like them. The kitchen has a gmfrusge big enough to be usable, and even a dishwasher.
Really lovely hotel. We stayed for four nights and almost everything was perfect. The reason I won’t give ten are two items listed below. But let’s focus and the positive things first:
- premium vibe
- heated pool
- adequate breakfast
- rooms were new and of high quality materials
- nice staff
Terrible hotel and terrible service. We went there in the winter and the heater was not working. They first refuse to change the room and told us to wait if the heater will be warmer. It didn’t. Later the property manager was not on the premises and let us wait to change the room.
Check-in and out were fast. Excellent location for people who want to explore South Lake Tahoe and hit the powder slopes. The hotel also provided discounts for one of the most popular pub restaurants nearby, which was definitely a plus. Our room was clean when checking in.
Room was exactly as advertised everything I wanted, super clean and comply. Also hotel location is almost perfect, close enough to the beach, casinos and heavenly but not close enough to be loud or crowded.
location, location, location!! Walking distance to Heavenly Village and casinos. The hotel is slightly dated but the room was comfortable. I had a one bedroom suite, it was like an apartment. Spacious!
It’s a two minute walk to the shore of lake, CVS and Heidi’s restaurant right next door was convenient, and easy access to get to casinos and heavenly ski lift.
It’s across the street from the casinos, walking distance to almost everything, and best of all… has a brewery attached to the property! Great food and drinks!
