Huge spa was very clean and nice. Loved that most of the walls were mirrors. About .9 miles walking distance to Harrahs and Harverys, so not too far from everything.

South lake Tahoe is a nice place to visit.
South lake Tahoe is a nice place to visit. I love the fresh air and the smell of the Sierras. The restaurants are okay, they try to make you think that they have all this amazing dining experiences, but they're just pretty much mediocre everywhere you go.

It's very difficult to figure out where to go to play in the snow & parking is a nightmare wherever you go. Traffic is bad. The casinos don't even try to entertain you or tease you. The slots just take your money without even stringing you along. The slots totally sucked, especially compared to Indian casinos & that includes all the casinos in South Lake, as well as North Lake.

Wow, haven't been to South Lake Tahoe in about 6-8 years and what a HUGE difference. It's become more commercialized and not as "homey" as it once felt. A lot of the older establishments are out of business with new stuff and construction taking over. The mom and pop restaurants we went to were pretty bad. It's gone down for charm, but up for convenience. Great groceries. Whole Foods, Safeway, Grocery Outlet... few bakeries, but we were shocked at the prices. $4.25 for a bear claw pastry! Still, it's beautiful and still worth the trip. Heavenly ski resort now requires reservations for parking on the weekends. They charge for cars with less than 3 people.

S. Lake Tahoe is fine for those seeking to shop, visit casino, night life however if you want to get away from the crowds and experience nature you are better off finding accommodations on the North side of the lake.

The location is great and close to stores and beach.
The location is great and close to stores and beach. They allowed pet in the area as well and the area is very quiet and safe. The only this we don’t like is no rug for the bathroom and the entrance door. They put a white towel instead. And the window or vinyl were dusty. Overall we love the place and we had a great stay. I would recommend this to family and friends.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The additional room they have near check-in where you can enjoy coffee or tea or spend some time to enjoy a meal are a great to touch to be able to enjoy the hotel beyond the very spacious hotel room. The rooms are comfortable and well laid out. The hotel is conveniently located on the main road. Weather permitting, you can walk to lots of shops, restaurants and casinos.
Location is away from the casinos, which we prefer. Hotel is an older(60s/70s?) hotel with some rustic character. Room was clean. Lighting could have been better. Quiet, even though hotel is on highway 89. A stove and oven were available in addition to a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot; we did not use them as we were away from the room most of the time visiting family.
I felt the hotel serviced my needs without being anything beyond the extraordinary. I know Tahoe will be pricey so I was glad to be in the vicinity of the activities I was going to be participating in. Location was indeed great. Close to shopping and dining. Within walking distance of the casinos if you're into that kind of thing. A clean, quiet place to spend a night.
Location was close to beach, casino, shopping and restaurants. Brewery with live entertainment on premises. Nice little pastry/coffee shop in lobby. Daily passes to the beach. The manager and front desk gentleman were very polite and friendly. Tried to do their best to accommodate all my requests.
The accomodation is strategically located near the touristic center of South Lake Tahoe. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The complimentary breakfast is simple yet fully satisfactory. Our room was alway clean and we always had fresh towels. We enjoyed the stay there.
Everything was just perfect!
Especially the hotel staff, they were friendly and welcoming. We had an unforgettable weekend, celebrated our eleventh anniversary, watched incredible nature, and even saw a bear! We will definitely come back here again!
The property was easy to find and had a great vibe as soon as we pulled up, with live music and people eating and drinking in the courtyard. It was a great location for going around South Lake Tahoe, and had really good facilities to hand.
The value for the room is great, easy contactless check-in and check-out. The best part is the location for us! We visit Tahoe for the American Classic Golf Tournament, and this is walking distance from the course and surrounding casinos.
A high standard of cleanliness throughout the room and the hotel. The staff are friendly and could not help us enough! The location? Perfect for access to the lake, boat trips, and the local amenities.
location, location, location!! Walking distance to Heavenly Village and casinos. The hotel is slightly dated but the room was comfortable. I had a one bedroom suite, it was like an apartment. Spacious!
We loved everything about our stay at The Coachman Hotel. Amazing staff, facilities and location. Great value for money. We would stay again if we return to South Lake Tahoe. Thanks for having us.
Excellent location and very easy to access. The property is located right in the center of South Lake Tahoe and is easy to find. It's also on the shore of the lake and has easy beach access.
Amazing little hotel, it was so cozy and also in good location. Room and the floor was a little bit cold, it would help if they provided some slippers or put a rug on the floor. :)
