Mammoth Mountain Inn, hotel in Mammoth Lakes

This property in Mammoth Lakes, California is located at 9,000-feet slope-side on Mammoth Mountain. It is steps from the Main Lodge and offers ski-in and ski-out access and free Wi-Fi.

The proximity to ski lifts. Ski in ski out. I love the bar area with the beautiful A frame glass window. Perfect place to have a drink and meal. Friendly bartender.

Mammoth looks good in the pictures, but the restaurant...

Mammoth looks good in the pictures, but the restaurant choices are very limited, and there are no Doordash type services available anywhere on the mountain. You literally couldn't even get a pizza delivered. If you're traveling with a family, I would go somewhere else - this is not a family friendly place.

Mammoth Lakes is mainly for skiers during the winter but could be a great destination for families with kids too. There's a lot of areas where you can just pull over and sled with your kid. Wooly's Adventure Summit also just opened their Mountain Coaster ride which is so much fun. One thing I would highly recommend is booking your attraction tickets in advance because the line to buy the tickets can be very long.

Best Western Properties have changed in Mammoth Lakes.

Best Western Properties have changed in Mammoth Lakes. This one was not familiar to me, and the one with which I was familiar is no longer a Best Western property. The room itself was fine, clean, albeit a little odd in it's elongated arrangement (kind of like a train car). However, the lack of an elevator, the many flights of stairs to access 2nd floor room, the creaky locks on the (apparently) old door fixtures (I had to ask for help to get OUT of the hotel!to the rear parking lot), and the general appearance, arrangement of the place are why I chose 3 stars. The breakfast room and its attendant were fine. The housekeepers were cheerful and helpful. Oh sorry! I thought this was a review for Best Western!!!

In Summer, Mammoth has a lot to offer if you are into trails...

In Summer, Mammoth has a lot to offer if you are into trails, seeing stunning lakes and waterfalls, doing various adrenalin activities like mountain biking or wakeboarding. We ran out of time to do everything (I would've liked to have gone to Brodie), but can recommend the trail from Devils Postpile to Rainbow Falls which was truly spectacular. It's also worth viewing the lakes at sunrise or sunset to get a different perspective of the landscape. Finally, a trip on the gondola was good fun with great hot chocolates served at the summit!

Vacation property was so well renovated and loved how clean the space was. Ryan has truly made the space look very elegant. Loved the renovated bathrooms. Kitchen was so well stocked and bathroom too with all the amenities. Ryan was also so responsive on the texts for our queries. It was really an amazing experience staying at Ryan’s place. Next time would Definitely love to stay at the same place in Mammoth lakes.

Nice and cosy place for a family of 4 Children in the living room and parents upstairs with separate bedrooms, a very nice treat especially when you are travelling from hotel to hotel with two kings size beds in one room A washing machine and dryer on premise, key in the house, operates on coins. But also great to have after a week of travelling Walking distance to the city Center with nice shops and restaurants

Excellent location close to shops and bars. My partner became unwell so we needed to stay another night, rather than our planned 4 day hike. George on reception went above & beyond securing the same room for us and giving advice & plenty of bottled water to combat altitude sickness. Breakfast was plentiful & better than most hotels of a similar price.

Compared to other Mammoth Lakes motels, the price was good. The mattress and pillows were okay. The clerk that checked us in was very friendly. The coffee was good but you had to wait until 8am to get it -- located in the lobby.
