Monique was incredibly kind and made us the most amazing breakfast. My husband/I had the upstairs to ourselves. Great shower room (separate from toilet room). Solid privacy. Big enough bed/bedroom. Wouldn't change a thing! The location was also beautiful. We made it our midpoint between Trollstigen and Bergen (where we were flying out). I went running around the town from the b&b and was able to run by a big stream, the church, to the fjord, etc. There's a little Mexican restaurant (we didn't go) nearby down the street, as well as a grocery store. Recommend!
The vacation home, set in a building dating from 1911, provides free private parking. Featuring mountain and river views, this vacation home offers 1 bedroom and opens to a patio.
The town does not have a lot to offer. But the surroundings are lovely. The fjord front is spoilt by supermarkets, bus park and lots of tarmac.
Lovely little cafe .......wonderful sandwiches. We biked uphill to a fabulous mountain lake. We were the only people there.......wonderful
Variety of rooms and accommodations between “old” and new rooms. Conference center facilities. Available dinners are excellent and worth the little extra spent on a meal. Breakfast is typical for area hotels with added homemade jams and warm bread and homemade peanut butter and chocolate hazelnut spread (way better than you-know-what). Vegetarian options available with inquiry. Clean rooms and lovely staff.
Lovely historic hotel. Very friendly staff. Great restaurant - I had perhaps the best meal there of my entire trip to Norway! Comfortable lobby for sitting and people-watching. The room was a bit small for the price, but worth it for a chance to stay in the hotel. A great stop if you are traveling up the coast of Norway.
The staff is friendly, our room was very clean and nicely furnished. The beds are super soft and comfy. Breakfast had a lot of homemade products and catered for every taste. Just 2min walk from the hotel is the lakefront and the village center. There are a lot of parking spaces and charging is also possible.
Wonderful hotel! The room was very nicely decorated. The space in the reception area was super cozy and inviting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. There were different kinds of homemade bread. There was a wide variety of food. Much of it was homemade too.
The historical part including the dining rooms are very charming which is what you see on most marketing materials. The 'new' half of the hotel is another story, some standard rooms are quite recently painted, and have paint smell, if you mind book the Nordic rooms instead.
Lovely interior, comfortable beds, natural smell of the room, location of the hotel (silent by night), but most of all the very friendly staff and the impressive and homemade breakfast dishes. Many thanks!
This hotel is so lovely, l just don't believe that it only has three stars. Every thing was perfect. The room, the staff, the whole place and the feeling of the story around the hotel.
