Oppdal has many options for hiking around during the summer...
Oppdal has many options for hiking around during the summer time, some of those are short distance from the center, some - you need to drive a little bit. It is also a gateway to moose safari (I saw one when walking in the area) and musk ox. Great views to valley from the top of nearby Mountains.

The place provides you with a lot more then you would inspect. There are several stores to get or update equipment for hiking / camping. You find Galleries with great work, there are all kind of options for food in town. If you want to go out there are multiple bars and places for a drink. Nice place, will for sure come back. P.S If you are also a photographer, bring your gear there is no place to buy photo equipment or even SD cards. The local Elkjop is missing it they dont provide any photo equipment.KaiNorway

Basic standard but have the important facilities like free wifi, a bathroom with toilet and shower, a small kitchen with cooking plate, microwave, standard kitchenware and a fridge. Staff is very friendly and answers messages in a timely manner. You need to let the hot water run for a minute before it works but then it is good. If you have car it is just 10 minutes from Oppdal centrum and the ski slopes. The photos were accurate.
