The room was really pretty. Located at a very convenient location right next to the famous blue church. The room was clean. View from the window was awesome. Staff was helpful. Overall I highly recommend this place.

The Old School was spacious with a dedicated living room and kitchen/dining. The washer/dryer was a nice bonus so that we could do laundry at the halfway point of our Ring Road journey. We also enjoyed the Hotel Aldan cafe/restaurant.

A picture postcard place nestled between snowy mountains (we visited early April) at the mouth of a fjord. Really glad we made a detour to Seyðisfjörður but we were very lucky to be able to get there because for the majority of our time in Iceland I noticed the road was impassable so keep an eye on the weather and road conditions.

This town is a bit over rated in my opinion.
This town is a bit over rated in my opinion. There is almost nothing there. The setting is nice, but we stayed in a town called Siglufjordur up north is much prettier and had a lot more to offer, so I would skip this one and head up there.

This is a great place to stay for a couple of days.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days. The town is small but charming, and there a multiple day hikes close by. If you are doing the ring road, this might be a nice spot for two nights to rest up a bit. You might catch a glimpse of the Faroe Islands/Denmark Ferry that comes in once a week. Breakfast options are limited, however there is a little bakery in the supermarket that has wonderful fresh baked bread and goods.

This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location between mountains and a fjord. Apart from the surrounding beauty, the town is tranquil (out of season) and very walkable. We understand that things heat up during the summer season. There are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. During working hours the town suffers from strong fishy odors coming from the local fish processing factory.
In short, it is a must-see stop on any tour of Iceland.

Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village.
Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a local hike. And being fans of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" we enjoyed seeing the filming locations in this town.
This house was perfect for us. We where 4 guys on a hunting trip and we wanted to be able to come and leave as we like and also be able to cook for ourself on the barbecue and use the hot tub. All this is just perfect in Langahlíð. The distance from Seyðisfjörður is very decent and the spaces between cabins are very good.
The staff was very very helpful. The came and checked on us and switched out the gas for us on the barbecue and gave us extra tissue in no time. Very helpful and friendly.
From the outside, this grey building does not promise much. However, we were so much surprised when we got our room with private bathroom. Everything is brand new, the beds are huge and comfortable and the bathroom is really big and pleasant. The room does not come with a breakfast, but the price is most reasonable and we can strongly recommend this place. Compared to hotel Aldan, this place is better and cheaper for accommodation.
I have stayed in many places in Iceland already but this certainly was one of the best if not the best. Communication beforehand was easy, the guesthouse is super clean and also takes measures with regard to the current situation seriously, the owner / staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely would go back there and can totally recommend it even for a longer stay than just one night.
Great hotel directly to the rainbow street and beautiful church. Seydisfjödur byitself very quite village, maybe in March because of not all opened infrastructure not completely ideal. But must be really really beautiful from spring - autumn.
If you stay just a short time, take small suitcases, small stairs to first floor. But very romantic beautiful room!
the apartment felt like a lot of space after hotels and guesthouses along the way. kitchen and bathroom are recently renovated. good location in a charming town. we really appreciated having the laundry machines and left with clean clothes for the second half of our trip
This was one of our favorite stays during our trip around the ring road. Seyðisfjörður is so picturesque and this is the perfect place to stay. Cute little deck overlooking the water, nice modern bathroom, and cute furnishings. Plus coffee and chocolate!
I stayed in a hostel for first time of my life. I thought I booked a hotel. So I was scared when coming... . But it was realy excellent. Tidy and clean rooms and toilet. Spacy, equipped and practical kitchen and dinning room. I can sugest..... thanks
Hotel Aldan's apartments were incredible. They are spacious, clean and provide all the amenities you would need. It also helps that they are right next to town. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return when we come back to Iceland.
This place was incredible. Everything from the jaw dropping views to the small details, like robes in each room, was over the top. You can tell the owners have put their love into what they do. Best place we’ve stayed in Iceland.
The hotel was adorable and extremely clean located right in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do. The restaurant Hotel Aldan had a fantastic light dinner menu. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved it.
The apartment is very cozy and the studio had been prepared in a stylish manner. The house is near a beautiful waterfall with an hiking path nearby. Room is clean and the heater in the bathroom make it very comfortable.
10+ for the apartment: huge, very well equipped, in a great location - the center of the beautiful town of Seyðisfjörður. A bit old fashioned but that only added to the charm of the place.
The room is exceptionally clean and comfortable, the location is amazing! We stayed in for a night with our 2 kids. The hotel has a shared kitchen so we could make a meal for our kids
The only hostel in which we stayed during our week in Iceland (different place ea. night), but by far the very nicest place (and value) among all of accommodations across the country.
The location is perfect and the staff is very friendly. We loved the restaurant owned by the hotel. Great views from the room. Everything is walking distance.
