We loved it! 12 out of 10. Freya Farm is what we hoped to find coming to Iceland, beautifully located in the countryside, amazing landscape, super clean and nicely decorated (new) rooms and welcoming hosts. / Easy to find with location info on booking.com. A part of the road is without tarmac, don't worry, it's very easy to drive. Don't get confused by "Steinsholt" in address, just follow coordinates (google maps). Not far off the Golden Circle, it took us about 20 min. from the Secret Lagoon. / There IS BREAKFAST available. / Our host Jon offered us a tour on the farm (gorge, waterfall, horses) and was kindly answering our many questions about Iceland. / This stay is a unique experience and we highly recommend it!

I loved absolutely everything about this manor. It was refined-country, cozy, crisp, and sophisticated-for-Iceland without being pretentious or minimalistic. Painted wooden panels, lush couches and beds that you sink into, spacious bathrooms. Beyond the decor being truly attractive, the staff was always smiling and helpful. After a freezing trip under the Seljalandsfoss waterfall's spray, I felt my extremities again in their clean sauna and further rejuvenated in the pool looking directly out into the landscape. Food was delicious with intriguing combinations of tastes. Parking was free and plentiful, access from the main road was simple, yet removed from the fray. I highly recommend this hotel/manor.

We loved breakfast buffet, everything was really delicious and fresh, various options to choose from. The room was clean, big and comfortable bed. The outdoor area with hot tubs and sauna were amazing. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Would recommend for sure!

Check in was extremely simple. The room had everything you could need. Small kitchen, sofa that can be used as second bed. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast is great, they leave it in the refrigerator every afternoon and bring the most amazing fresh sourdough bread in the morning.
