Thordur the owner was already waiting for us when we arrived. He gave us a tour of the place. Our son loved playing with the toys they had there. The room was clean and the beds were very comfy. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place.

Cute little town with scenic walking/running tails.
Cute little town with scenic walking/running tails. It has everything an authentic Icelandic town needs: a grocery store, gas station, cafe with decent coffee, swimming pool and lots of nature around.

We were greeted by a very charming hotel owner who handed over the keys. In the evening we had dinner in the hotel's restaurant. It was very nice. The apartment was spacious: we had two large bedrooms, a moderate bedroom and a kitchen with an oven, fridge and kitchen utensils. There was a very nice sitting lounge with a fantastic view. There was parking at the back of the hotel. The hotel was close to the harbor and was close to sightseeing locations.
The views were amazing and there was so much space! It was delightful.
We came in the evening and were met but an actual human being at the front desk (as opposed to a key taped to the door or a series of internet-delivered instructions). We got a huge one-bedroom apartment with a nice kitchen, living room and a balcony. A very comfortable bed, too - an exception among the several hotels that we stayed at during our trip. I wish we could stay more than one night to take full advantage of that nice apartment. The breakfast was decent, too.
The hostess, the one from Spain, was probably the most helpful check-in person I've ever seen at the hotel. She was so genuinely helpful and smiled, and eager to help solve any issues and answer our questions. She even put her jacket, hat and gloves on and came outside up to our apt to show us how to lock our door (which we thought was broken). She should consider going into hospitality if she isn't already.
This hotel is essentially a working farm. Horses, sheeps and lambs are the primary products. The highlight of this establishment is the friendliness of the staff. Having breakfast in the morning was like eating in your own kitchen and having quiet conversations with friends and family. They also provided guidance to find the local puffin population.
Standard Icelandinc wood floors and cleanliness.
I chose this location as the eastern most hotel in Iceland. Its quirky and i found out the reason from the manager - its a part time hotel (also used for boarding school pupils in term time). i had a lovely view and in some respects its basic but there's someting about the layout and ambience i realy liked.
Where to begin....this hotel is in a beautiful, quiet location. The apartment begs you to stay forever. The staff is awesome...friendly, helpful and professional. A complimentary bottle of wine and an awesome dessert surprised us on our anniversary!
I wish that I could live here!
A nice little town. The location of the hotel with the view to the fjord is absolutely wonderful. Restaurants, bakery/cafe´ and a grocery store is just a couple to 100m away. You can use the swimming pool nearby free of cost. Pretty quite eventhough located on the main road.
The spacious apartment had all the amenities we needed (Some wear and tear but comfy). We enjoyed using the (free) pool with water slides and walking around. The Cliff hotel had a beautiful view and breakfast was delicious. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 9 am.
Breakfast was served in a Café, 2 Minutes drive. Breakfast was delicious and Personal wäre very nice. The Breakfast was super. Thank good, that it was not served in the Hotel. Breakfast and Location of the Café were Perfect.
Very cosy apartment with a nice view on the sea. Comfortable rooms and a very equipped kitchen. There was only a washing machine.
We also had free access to the swimming pool close to the hotel.
Very spacious and clean apartment, beautiful view over fjord and the best was the swimming pool nearby ( for free for hotel’s guests). We extremely enjoyed staying there. Thank you again!
The waterfront view was great. The hotel was clean. The shower had hot water. The breakfast was good for being free: cereal, ham cheese, pastries, bread...
