Hosts were so incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. The apartment is absolutely beautiful and very well decorated. It was spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy, and our host showed us that it has the back lift thingys which were amazing after a long day of travel and hiking! Loved that the tv had netflix. The kitchen was well stocked and beautiful. The bathroom was amazing, loved the heated tile, and I also loved the extra touches the host added (micellar water & cotton pads for makeup removal) for convenience. The lighting in the apartment was so cool and made for such a cozy vibe! Host even brought us yogurt for breakfast! So kind! Even though it's a "basement apartment" the view from the kitchen window of the mountains in the distance was incredible. The washer and dryer were extremely helpful, especially being towards the end of our trip, we were able to clean our clothes prior to our return home. This was our favorite stay of the entire trip. Can't recommend this one enough!

The place is just great, the environment is beautiful, the house had everything you need, nothing was missing. One night was too short to fully enjoy the surroundings and we would definitely like to stay here again someday😊❤️

Unfortunately, it was very rainy so we could not take part in any activities. Although it was noted online that boat tours were available this was not the case -apparently it had been a failed enterprise.
The train trip into Andalsnes was spectacular and worth the visit.

The beautiful fjord town, with the turquoise blue Rauma River winding through on one side and the towering peaks on the other. It is very well connected by train to Oslo and by bus to Trollstigen and Molde airport. It is suitable as a campsite for vacations and as a hub for trips to other places.

Super nice and cozy city/village, perfect as a starting point for some amazing hiking routes. 3 to 4 days should be enough to stay here: one for the Romsdalseggen hiking route, one to go to the Atlantic Road (around 100km drive) and one to go to Trollstiegen and Geirangerfjord. Preferably rent a car to visit this places but no car needed for the hiking routes.

Lovely fjordside town with access to hiking.
Lovely fjordside town with access to hiking. Good restaurants (especially Mama Rossi and the Thai restaurant). Romsdalseggen Ridge hike from the trailhead to town is not for the faint of heart (or those with a fear of heights), but rewards you with spectacular views!
Since we paid the very friendly owner directly upon arrival, we had an opportunity to meet him. He told us a bit about the history of the community and responded quickly to a couple of texted questions we sent him during our stay. He even offered to let us charge our rented EV for a very reasonable fee. We are active hikers/walkers, so we loved the close proximity of the house to the Andalsnes waterfront, grocery store, other shops, and especially the trailhead for the wonderful hike to the Rampestreken and summit just beyond.
I am sure that if you book here, you already know you will stay at a fully automatic - unmanned - hotel. It works great. Parking so easy right outside. Breakfast served at a restaurant inside the connected shopping centre before this opens. Now, a premade breakfast-plate with both some very typical Norwegian ingredients and some more exotic + coffee and juice. Very nice and all you need! Facilities very new and modern. We had a great stay and may stay here again.
Words cannot describe how amazing this location was. Everything from the owners to the location to the house itself far exceeded our expectations. Modern inside with all the comforts of home yet has a very cozy feel to it. Location was very close to Andalsnes center and very central to a lot of hiking and sights but yet off the main roads and very quiet. We were really sad to leave and hope to one day return.
The view from the two windows in this underground flat is breathtaking, so is the whole street. TV has free Netflix, Samsung TV and YouTube premium. The location is only 10 minutes walk from the centre and the walk will take you to a very scenic street most tourists probably wouldn't know about. This is definitely better than any hotel I have ever stayed at, don't let that it's underground put you off!
Andalsnes is surrounded by beautiful scenery, although the town itself is very commercial and industrial and most of it is lumberyards, train yards, and other industrial facilities. The center of town where the residences are is very nice and peaceful. This apartment was very close to the start of the trail up to the summit, and that was very convenient.
Kellie the host was so friendly. Her place was so cute with warm interior. The location is also walking distance to the station and center and next to her place there was a nice cafe too. The checkin process was easy and it is also easy to communicate with her (fast response). I would like to recommend her place to stay comfortably in Åndalsnes.
The friendlyness of the staff, the design and decoration of the hotel, give that you feel at home. A cosy big living room with a bar, a coffee and tea corner on the house. A sauna. The hotel offered a 3 course dinner with other hotel guests, sitting at a long table. That was amazing!
It is a wooden cottage. It looks like a sauna with a kitchen and a toilet. It was perfect for us. If you expect it to be a fancy hotel you will be dissapointed. Our kids loved the playground. The location was perfect for our trip to Trollstigen.
Location was great, shame about the weather, if no clouds or fog then the views of the mountains would have been amazing. Close to Åndalsnes town and not far from Trolls Ladder. Very easy to check in and out.
Cozy cabins in a gorgeous location! Loved the views of the rugged mountains from every direction. Close proximity to Trollstigen and Åndalsnes, and easy to do a day trip to Geiranger and the Atlantic Road.
The central location to town and all of its amenities was perfect. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options as well. I would comeback here. on my next trip to Andalsnes.
Fantastic view, central location but out of the way. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It's not a fancy hotel but there's a cozy common room and kitchen you can use.
