This is walking distance from the bus station. However, if you have luggage, you'll be dragging it to 6-10 mins to the hotel. It might be hard if you come during winter. It is near the old town and a supermarket. The buffet breakfast with all those cheese are the best.

It is a very cozy space, very clean in a great location and as some other guests said it is much prettier than what the pictures show.
Our stay was short but it has everything you may need for a longer stay.

I loved that it wasn't very big, yet there was plenty to do there, and it was beautiful as well. I really enjoyed hiking up around the Aksla. There were plenty of excursions that could be done from there, and the scenery was gorgeous. It was very easy getting around the town, whether on fun or via public transportation, and it was relaxing.

Alesund is very beautiful seen from above so make sure you go to Aksla viewpoint where you arrive.
You will love the city if you love the Art Nouveau style.
I am not a fan of this type of architecture so I was not amazed by the city while I was walking in. There is a bit of lack of life and it's very quiet.
However, the landscapes and the nature all around the city is absolutly stunning so this is a great reason to visit this town.

Great city to end my trip around the famous Norwegian Fjords. Clean and walkable city center. Don’t miss out on the 400 steps to the view point above the park. A few restaurants to choose from. Visit the Ålesund aquarium and take a stroll around the old harbor area.

Alesund is a nice town, with much to see. We only thought that there wasn't a lot to do in the evening. For excursions there is plenty of possibilities. Two days is enough for me. Nice that we have seen this.

We were there too late in the season to do the things we wanted to do. The fjord trip was great, but I was hoping to get to Geiranger and Trollsteigen. A pretty place, but not much to see or do in October.

Ålesund is not a nice stay for people who enjoy nature.
Ålesund is not a nice stay for people who enjoy nature. We did the walk to the summit but that was all we enjoyed. So glad we did not stay two nights. It’s a very strange place with few places to eat.
Excellent location, comfortable rooms with all one requires, staff were excellent and very helpful. They provide a superb breakfast and on our departure day, we had an early start, they provided a superb take-away breakfast - one of the best I have had. Previously have stayed at the Scandic in Ålesund and it is more expensive, nowhere near is good and the staff were less than accommodating. This hotel is far superior and the difference in price will nearly pay for dinner somewhere.
This was almost the best accommodation of our 2000-km road trip in 2023. Do not keep scrolling, choose this one! Its location and the access to the room is No1. I just love the way the whole place looks - it is a concrete-built, modern building with many small staircases and hallways, both inside and out. And the room was bigger and more liveable than I thought by the pictures. Finally the bad was the biggest one of our trip to Norway!
The location was good, easy street parking during off hours, very easy to collect the keys, and groceries across the street, easy walk to downtown Alesund and restaurants and shops. Kitchen was large, well equipped and easy to use. Washer and dryer is a huge bonus. There was plenty of room to spread out, and the furniture was comfortable.
The host, Rolf, was very friendly and talkative and supportive. The location of Kirkegata is fabulous for visiting Aalesund by foot with all urban niceties nearby. we had enjoyed our stay in Aalesund very much. Out on the street there is free night and Sunday parking. Internet and all amenities worked well and reliably.
This accommodation is very cheap, has a washing machine for your clothes (bring your own powder), a drying rack and a kitchen with the basic equipment for cooking (bring your own consumables). It works well as a pitstop, and this was our plan for the 2 nights in Alesund.
The house is big with good view of Alesund. Nice house and good kitchen. Free wifi and netflix. Easy to check in and out. Just collect the key at the right place. follow the instructions given in the message. free car parking.
The location of this hotel worked out really well for us. It was close enough in walking distance to the city center, fjord tour pick up, restaurants, shopping and the bus terminal. Breakfast was delicious with many choices.
Great apartment, spacious and clean. Well equipped kitchen, big and comfy living room. Very good location, you can walk to the center and downtown. Highly recommended. The best accomodation we had in Norway this far.
Large accessible apartment with elevator, large bedrooms and had a nice sauna. Room also had an ensuite washer and dryer (quite hard to find a place with a dryer in Norway). Plenty of space and great view.
The hotel had a very nice breakfast, clean room and friendly staff. We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist who provided all necessary information about our stay. Short walk from parking lot to hotel.
Very good hotel, rooms very comfy and spacious. The view from the room was spectacular, one of the best we ever had. Breakfast very good. Location walking distance to all attractions and restaurants.
Apartment was big and very comfortable and right downtown Alesund so we could enjoy the city and shopping on foot, even after dark. Kitchen well equipped and washer and dryer big.
Good location, parking nearby, we had a simple and clean room with big windows, hotel located in not so busy but nice street, restaurants are also nearby.
