Stayed here with 3 kids and had a wonderful time! The staff was SO welcoming and friendly, we loved the traditional dinner and breakfast, the Onsen was great and the location was beautiful. We were able to get picked up from the train station which made it really easy to get to.
Also we realized we forgot a charger in the room after we had left, and the owner kindly mailed it to our next location for us.

The location of the house was in a residential neighbourhood in the suburbs of Nagano city, so it was very quiet and quite safe. Access to the house was quite easy from Kirihara station (approx. 7-10 minutes on foot). The house itself was spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, and the futon beds were comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful (he spoke English and Italian on top of Japanese), and as he is a wine connaisseur and importer, we were also able to buy and taste some excellent wines during our stay. The owner also provided us with coffee, herb tea and apples (locally grown).
