Tanah Rata is the main centre for exploring the Cameron Highlands. The main activities are walking in the nearby rainforest trails and taking a tour up to look at the lovely tea plantations in the area and then up to the moss forests up in the mountains (about 2000 metres above sea level). Take good rainwear!

Tanah Rada has a quiet environment. There are some garden houses left over from the British colonial period in the town, as well as many holiday homes. The front and back of the house are planted with exotic flowers and trees, just like the British spring and summer scenery.

A small town but with lots of activities to choose. I play golf at Sultan Ahmad Shah Club and it was awesome! My family also enjoying the cold climate and majestic view of the nature. You should come here to experience Cameron Highlands!

I like the conveniece to buy food , laundry ,bank and many food stall and cafe and hiking activity. Should pay a visit to MARDI Agrotechnology Garden ticket only RM6.50 and must try the Chinese Nyonya food Fern's Restaurant. Food is delicious with reasonable price. Weather is cooler compare to other places in Penisular Malaysia like in KL , Ipoh or Penang.Rachael EngMalaysia

As many people mentioned true is that the walls are thin and nearby there is music bar open till 12pm but we actually didnt mind and it added special vibe to the place that everybody there was trying to keep quiet. Also great value for money. I would recommend this stay for backpackers. Place itself is very simple but clean and provided with all neccessary things.LuciaCzech Republic

I've been to cameron highland couple of times but this time was the best because of this house. Everything you need in a house you will find there, it made our stay there prefect. The house was clean and amazingly nice. The sunrise from the balcony is crazy. Lovely host. Nearby KK mart and Watson in case you need anything. Would I come back for this unit next time? I would say I'll never change it whenever I go there.

Surprisingly quiet for a hostel, not a lot of socializing. Half day tour set up by the hostel was really awesome. But it is a bit far to the place of interest, Pasar Malam, Tea plantation.
