Location was good, 10 minute walk from Hiroshima Station, or to the bus stop which we used the most. Pleasant location near the river so the walks were enjoyable. Staff didn't have much English but were very friendly.

This is a city of great historical importance and I felt humbled by the way the people of Japan and citizens of Hiroshima have rebuilt this city devastated by nuclear bomb. It was deeply painful to visit The Hall of Remembrance and see and hear a choir of school children singing near Children's Peace Monument. Those who are rattling nuclear sabres today should remember Hiroshima. Despite painful history people of this city are wonderful. Anywhone visiting Japan should see Hiroshima.

Hiroshima is a great city.
Hiroshima is a great city. The peace park and museum were very touching. It is incredible to see how the city has been rebuilt and is thriving. The day trip to Miyajima island is a must with a hike to Mt. Misen and seeing Otorii shrine.

Hiroshima is a thriving city now, which we were glad to see.
Hiroshima is a thriving city now, which we were glad to see. We walked around on our own one afternoon and had an excellent (and moving) local tour of the Peace Park and related memorials the next morning. For lunch we had a delicious local Okonomiyaki. For dinner we tried oysters done in five different preparations, as it is another specialty of the area. (They are quite large, however, and not our favorite.)
We never got to the castle or gardens, and did not visit Miyajima, which is why I would have liked one more night. But it was enough time for the basics. We would recommend that everyone take the time to visit Hiroshima. It is part of our collective history and essential now to understand the dangers we all face in today's volatile world.

We were independent travellers.
We were independent travellers. Hiroshima was easily accessible by public transport especially with the 'Free' JR pass hop on hop off bus. 3 separate circuits gave us plenty of choice. The 'Peace Park' precinct was a great focus for a day or even two.

Atomic Bomb Dome, Peace Park/ Museum and Miyajima were the highlights of the trip to Hiroshima,
Food for vegetarians is a bit of a challenge in Hiroshima; Margherita from Pizza Hut was atrocious.
Getting around is easy with good public transport.
Would avoid a budget hotel like Apa in future.
Fantastic location 2 min away from the peace memorial. Reception and bar is on the 14th floor with great views over city. Great eating out opportunities nearby. Staff spoke good English and were very friendly and helpful. Free amenities for guests such as shower gel, shampoo, razor, cotton buds etc. Pyjamas and slippers provided as well. Easily accessible by tour bus from train station drops you off literally 100ft away from hotel. You can even walk it, we had a great 40 min walk admiring the beautiful city of hiroshima.
The view from Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima is stunningly beautiful. We enjoyed it from our room and the Sky Lounge, where we had breakfast during our stay at the hotel. The room is smaller than an average room if you have a couch set up for the third person (or kid) sleeping in the room--and frankly, quite uncomfortable. However, the view from our room makes it up. The breakfast selection is outstanding. If you are too lazy to go out for dinner, the buffet dinner at Sky Lounge also offers a marvelous selection of menus.
I loved this place and will definitely stay here again in the future. The lobby is lovely, they provide amenities in the room and at the lobby, it's close to some of the most important places in Hiroshima, the Peace Memorial Park and the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome. If you are using a JR pass you can take the Meipuru-pu bus for free by showing it to the driver and get off very very close to the hotel. I also had a very nice view from my window to the park and dome, it exceeded my expectations!
Location is brilliant for the Hiroshima train and bus station, which are both around the corner from the hotel, 5 mins away.
The onsen was fabulous! Staff were lovely and could speak a little English or would use their 'pocket talk' machines to help converse! Luggage receiving/forwarding worked a treat again. The breakfast in the Komeda coffee shop attached to the hotel was sufficient to start the day. Room was compact, as per alot of the Japanese hotels, but had everything you needed.
What went well with the stay at this hotel? Well, pretty much everything, from its location to the staff at reception, to the cleanliness and planning of the room, and last but not the least to the breakfast buffet, which had an infusion of freshly prepared Japanese and Western style food. Every single one of the staff members we encountered at Hotel Washington Hiroshima was exceptionally courteous and helpful, typical of the Japanese standard (still, acknowledgement has to be given!)
We very much enjoyed our stay at this stylish boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Hiroshima. The location could not be any better, within a short walking distance to the peace park, shopping and entertainment districts, and well connected to the train station and Miyajima via the tram nearby. The small gift shop and cafe were real pluses! The bar - a repurposed indoor swimming pool - was also beautifully designed.
very close to Hiroshima station. the shared kitchen is very clean and has everything you need. The cabin is larger than the usual “capsule” you have in japan, so you won’t feel so cramped. It also has a small fan in each cabin so the air circulation was really good and can really feel the AC. free luggage storage, and the’s a café on the first floor. Compare to other capsule hotels, this is one of the best.
We booked Mitsui Garden Hotel as it was located very centrally and looked clean with decent enough services. What we got though exceeded our expectations greatly. The staff who helped us check in on our first night were extremely helpful and friendly, and the views, overall service and cleanliness were all amazing. I will definitely be staying here again if and when I return to Hiroshima.
This is a cute little hotel that gives the vibe of a small Japanese apartment. It includes a fridge, stove and cooking materials. There was a lot of space along with tatami mats, my favorite! They also offer breakfast, which is a noodle salad with a light sauce. The hotel is a less than 10 minute walk from Hiroshima station located in a quite neighborhood next to a school.
The location of the hotel is 2 minutes from main railway station, which makes it quite comfortable. You can also easily get to the main tourist destinations in Hiroshima from there.
Breakfast was alright, I appriciate it also included some sweet options (croissants, jam, bread, mini desserts).
This location is definitely better than hotel under the same brand in Tokyo.
Very comfy and location is convenient to the Hiroshima Station as it is about a 10 minute walk. The staff are very friendly and will help you with any questions you may have . Rooms are very clean and this was one of the best hotels we had stayed in during our trip to Japan.
Our favorite hotel in Japan. Clean, beds so comfortable and the staff was so kind (helped me organize pizza delivery for son's birthday). Super affordable. Breakfast looked good but we didn't have time to eat it. Good location, right next to Hiroshima station.
It was so close to Hiroshima station, in heart of the city, the location was so good. The hotel was quiet and very comfy. The sheets were clean, but you needed to request to change the sheet everyday, but no biggie.
The hotel is located close to the streetcar station that goes to the Hiroshima station and the main areas. It is close to the shopping district as well, with many restaurants near by.
Lovely welcome and very helpful staff. It’s a lovely traditional hotel with a very warm welcome. Amazing room. We will never forget our stay here. Hiroshima is a lovely city
Clean, comfortable hotel and short walk from Hiroshima station. Breakfast of assorted breads and coffee were included in the stay, which was a lovely touch.
Amazing hotel, located on the Bay of Hiroshima. We had a great room in the 9th floor, with amazing view. Relative to Japan the rooms are very very big.
