Very sweet and helpful couple who run this simple guesthouse with a stunning view. It seems most people have a car who stay here but the owner was very generous in taking me into town for two mornings. I think it's worth it to be in the countryside. I stayed in their large room with ensuite. Comfortable bed, good AC and a microwave, fridge and washer/dryer. Strangely there are no plates, silverware etc. I took a lovely hike right from the house at sunset and there are nice bike and pedestrian paths.

It's a beautiful place that is best visited during summer...
It's a beautiful place that is best visited during summer where the air is cool and the sun is bright and the fields are lush and welcoming. I rented an electronic bicycle and loved riding it through the fields of Biei - it was such a beautiful place. The Shirahige waterfall and bluepond is kinda small and far out but still worth taking a look if you are around the area and drive. Public transport to the 2 place are quite terrible because the JR train schedule does not align with the bus timing at all. I will blog and vlog more about my trip on my blog if I have time.

There are so many scenic lookouts and tourist places in the area. Farms are absolutely beautiful and driving on a road to mount Tokachi (Blue pond is also on the way) has good view as well. Cycling is also nice in summer season, but I recommend to rent a car if you are with kids or elder person since there are so many hills to climb :)Tomoya IwataJapan

Biei is a perfect small town, easy to get around, great restaurants. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable, and has all the amenities you need and more. The beds are extremely comfy. Also, the location is great for discovering the area (we had a car), and there are many shops, restaurants, a big supermarket and a few convenient stores in a walking distance. The owner went out of their way to make the check-in process as easy as possible. Would love to come back again when visiting the area.

If you are a large group consider taking the villa, the main building has better view though. They picked and dropped us up from Biei station. We did take the taxi one time. It costs around 1200¥. The location is wonderful, specially to enjoy sunset. They have free bicycle which you can borrow to ride around. The host lady super nice and very accomodating.
