Stayed at that hotel many years ago when it just opened, and to my surprise (well, no, i expected it) - it's still in perfect shape (all looks very new / modern, as if freshly refurbished (or may be it was)).
Breakfast was very good - like the restaurant and the selection.

The food was diverse. We didn't eat the same food on our stay. We had breakfast included. All the food from restaurant was delicious. The spa is awesome. Our kids had a lot of fun and we managed to de-stressed. It was a good therapy for our souls and bodies.

Sovata is simply amazing, very clean and nice mountain resort where you can enjoy nice walks in te forest around the lake and you can swim in Ursu lake as well. The salty water is good for the bones and joints. I was eating in few places but the best was restaurant Club Dracula. lovely location close to the lake with a spectacular view. I absolutely loved the food, the ambiance, the location and the service. the food was incredibly tasty and fresh. The restaurant waiters were very friendly and not pushy at all. I would definitely recommend Sovata for foreigners as they have to see the beauty of Romania and they need to try the Romanian food like sarmale, mamaliga, mici, papanasi, steak, pastrav and the famous soups. We never expected the resort to be this nice, the whole town is renovated and there are many activities to fill up you're time. Just to name a few: Mocanita Sovata - a 2h ride on a steam train, the Praid salt mine that you can visit and there are a lot of trails around the forest, one that even has a Bell Vedere tower built .BadarauNetherlands - 8.0Scored 8.0

It’s a great destination!Bear Lake was great !If you have small children and they splash a bit ,the elderly will complain and constantly roll their eyes at the kids so expect that .Other than that our stay there was great!

An excellent 5 minutes walk from Bear Lake . Staff here was friendly, approachable and always ready to help . The spa is beautiful! Enough beds, the water elements work frequently. We could use also the spa center of the next hotel which is much bigger but much crowder and not so cosy.
