I was only there for one night before joining the cruise.
I was only there for one night before joining the cruise. I did walk to the mall, although i stood at the bus stop. I saw a bus coming but then it turned onto another street. Maybe in the future the bus route/and time and fare can be posted. I did purchase some gifts for Mother's day and had lunch in the mall.

Loved Tampa Didn't love the shower tub combo..
Loved Tampa Didn't love the shower tub combo.. If I was old i couldn't have used it. Crawl over the tub to get in. Shower sprayed water all over the floor even if your careful. Slippery floor wet from over spray. Someone is going to brake a hip. I wouldn't want to clean up after a shower. What a mess.

I lived in Tampa for almost 35 years.
I lived in Tampa for almost 35 years. Business and career kept me there, but I cannot imagine ever wanting to visit just for vacation. When the weather is predictable, it is either because of high heat or biting cold. Entertainment is mostly in the category of Championship Wrestling or Monster Truck shows. Go there if you must.

First visit to Tampa and liked everything except the traffic...
First visit to Tampa and liked everything except the traffic. It was worse than Atlanta. Ybor city reminds me of a small version of Bourbon street but go there during the day, I was told it can be dangerous at night. Gaspars Grotto had the best Cuban sandwich and soup I've ever had and the drinks were good and a strong pour. But be prepared for chickens running around everywhere. It was a fun and unique experience. Went to a concert at Raymond James Stadium and they have the best traffic and parking set up I've encountered. We got to our car and were back at our hotel in 30 minutes. A+++ for whoever designed and handles that. We decided to get to the concert parking lot early because of our bad experiences at other venues. Took a Lyft to a restaurant till we needed to go back to the venue. Scheduled our Lyft back as soon as we got there. Never showed up so we took a PediCab and it was great and efficient. Literally got us from the restaurant to our stadium gate in 4 minutes and 36 seconds. Costs about 9 dollars per minute per person. I even left my phone in the cab by accident (with all my credit cards in the case), driver had given us his number in case we needed him after the show, we called and he brought it right back to us. Thank you Goody, you're the best. Overall, I look forward to going back and exploring more that Tampa has to offer.
We have stayed at Springhill Suites Westshore for many many years, both on arriving or leaving Florida. We have never been disappointed. The staff are always kind, friendly and supportive, the rooms are spacious and the beds always comfortable. The breakfasts are always good and plentiful. The car parks both front and rear are spacious and the hotel is easy to reach from Tampa International Airport or from elsewhere in Florida. Two large shopping Malls are located nearby as well as many restaurants too
We would highly recommend this hotel
This hotel is fantastic, clean, comfortable and quirky in its own way as the hotel has kept its old traditional and historical style of grandeur with new furniture.
The beds were so comfortable and we all had a great night’s sleep. The breakfast was also really good and the location was ideal right in the heart of downtown Tampa.
Overall this hotel is incredibly great value for money and you could not pass it. We will definitely be back at this hotel.
This hotel hits almost all the boxes when staying in Downtown Tampa in an old hotel. It is an old tall building with old school rooms. Bed and bathroom were fine, and furniture and closets in the room were suitable. The price is fair and breakfast was fine.
The parking lot is on the side of the building, so it is easy to drive about as well as walk to the water and other spots, including the restaurant blocks.
Great for a couple nights and photos.
Location is very central allowing you to visit both Downtown Tampa and St. Petersburg. The availability to accommodate three people in one room, albeit on one sofa-bed, is awesome for traveling in groups. The kitchen and full-sized refrigerator, as well as the pool, are nice additional extras. The room was clean, the A/C unit worked really well, hot water availability was exceptional, and service from the staff was good.
Perfect for someone looking to be in the heart of the River area of downtown Tampa. Apt. was tight, but not out of alignment with what you'd expect in a major city. High end finishes, well stocked, comfortable. Building amenities are fantastic, concierge 24/7 was a bonus. Clearly a very luxe area and building- the vehicles in the parking structure were jaw-dropping.
the general manager and the whole stuff in fact did an excellent job they are very accommodating and hospitable as any hotel should be when you go to visit or stay there as a guest. We will be back and with great pleasure. much appreciation to all of you there at Town place East Tampa Florida Dr Martin Luther King boulevard keep up the great work!!!!
Great Staff, Latisha, Kennie, Ember were all great, so helpful, and the valet service team was great!
Very cool hotel, so glad we got to try it and if in downtown Tampa, will definitely come back.
Food well prepared (just did small bites) but were very nice.
The location was about a 1-mile walk to downtown Ybor, and a short 10-minute drive to downtown Tampa. The apartment itself was nice but the building was a tad sketchy. I appreciate the Keurig with coffee pods and creamer available.
Your stay is on the Bay. Good location for nature. We seen Dolphins and a array of fish walking along the out perimeter of the hotel. Your close to downtown and everything you can imagine to get into..
Great location near airport.
My room was very clean and welcoming. The reception staff and shuttle driver were very friendly and helpful. It is a nice place to stay when flying in and out of Tampa.
Near to Brandon and Tampa Center.
We could always find a parking slot.
There is a Cuban restaurant next to the hotel.
Was the best booking's result for low-price and high-rating, but read ahead.
Location is great, as you can walk to multiple bars, restaurants and other hotels. The view is awesome. The room was big and very clean and had a nice size balcony overlooking downtown Tampa.
Beautiful hotel in a very happening area of Tampa. Room itself was luxurious and amenities exceeded expectations. Also helpful that there were friendly staff throughout our stay.
I thought the hotel was lovely and clean and located close to Tampa Airport. We used the complimentary shuttle bus to and from the airport. Lovely hotel to stay in.
