Lovely stay in a traditional old house in UNESCO Heritage-listed Ainokura. Amazing dinner, amazing breakfast, hot green tea always available, a yukata to wear in the house. Loved the atmosphere of this traditional property, and I had my best sleep of my Japan trip - very comfy mattress! Place is kept warm by the heaters. Loved everything about it and recommending everyone to stay here! Great value for money as well. Friendly hosts, while with limited English they make the stay very comfortable. There is even a warm small spa bath in the bathroom, do yourself a favor and use it especially on a chilly day! Everything was great.

Guests can relax in the indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and wear Japanese Yukata robes. My view was brilliant from my room. Near a bus stop, be careful of the hill leading up though. The onsen was great. The room was big, in which the bed was comfortable, still the Japanese hard bed though. Staff allowed me to leave all of my luggage before I checked in which was great! Staff were really friendly all around the hotel. Dinner was a traditional Japanese dinner, and had a lot of dishes, the same was with breakfast. A razor, hair band, toothbrush ect were available. You are also given a choice of a small, medium or large yukata. I really enjoyed it here. I highly recommend it.

Nice Ryokan with Onsen. Comfortable stay
Traditional tatami mat room with futon Nice view from the window Very accommodating host who was willing to drive me to and from the train station Dinner and breakfast can be arranged
a must stay Japanese style tatami hotel. the onsen are awesome, they provide late night ramen is a bonus. another great thing is their breakfast, plenty of selection.
This hotel has an onsen, but just as importantly, the hot spring water is available in your room in a smallish but wooden tub. Can't beat soaking in hot spring water in your own room. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room and slept on futons on the tatami mats. Breakfast selection was vast, and Japan oriented. We really enjoyed the shrimp tempura.
Very pleasant stay. It has outdoor onsen and food provided by the hotel was good we choose to stay in tatami style room and we love it . hotel provide shuttle to go to places of interest too.
wonderful tradition Japanese inn. the staff were very hospitable & the onsen was very relaxing. fantastic location in between the three Gassho-zukuri villages. inn is located directly at a bus stop. the dinner and breakfast food was particularly incredible
A nice small ryokan in a remote place. Everything was just fine, including the room, onsen with rotenburo, food, etc. Just fine, but nothing special. Apart from the view: pure endless sea - it made this accommodation worth the price (but not a penny more).
