A bicycle rental service is available at the ryokan. Amazing accomodation! The location is superb, next to a lush green jungle and only 5 minutes from the nicest beach. Yes, it's a bit far from downtown, but we made it work even without hiring a car. The rooms are beautiful and have nice terraces. The family running it is amazing. We also had an excellent breakfast every day. Can't imagine a better place to stay!

Staff were so friendly and helpful, very welcoming. Walk to amazing beaches!

The ryokan, set in a building dating from 2015, is 11 km from Yaeyama Museum and 18 km from Tamatorizaki Observation Point. The ryokan provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Simple guest house in a quiet village, just steps from a beach with gorgeous sunrises. The friendly English-speaking host provided everything I needed for my first two days on Ishigaki. I loved the carefully prepared meals (even the miso soup was different all four times!)
