It was a culinary journey that left me wishing I had booked at least two nights so I could indulge in these amazing meals again and again. What impressed me even more was the accommodation's accommodation of our gluten-intolerant guest. Next time I visit, I'll definitely plan for a longer stay at Asan Kotonami. This place is a gem that offers an authentic and immersive experience into Japanese culture and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to create lasting memories during their stay in Japan.

The building is beautiful, the food was delicious and staff friendly. Baths are very enjoyable. It was an overall great experience.

A 5-minute walk from JR Kotohira Train Station, Kotosankaku Hiten provides Japanese rooms with traditional futon beds and Konpira Mountain views. It is absolutely beautiful, we stayed in a western style room and it's absolutely huge! It also had an amazing view of the mountain behind. We didn't bother using the onsen as we have tattoos but we walked around the hotel and it's so beautiful with many art pieces and sculptures. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious and the dining hall was beautiful.

El Toramaru Ryokan se encuentra en Kotohira, a 800 metros del santuario de Kotohiragu, y ofrece alojamiento con salón compartido, estacionamiento privado gratuito y jardín. The location and the staff are wonderful. It’s a bicycle friendly ryokan: no problem to store our bikes inside by the reception.

El Kikuya Ryokan ofrece habitaciones en Tonosho, a 1,7 km de la iglesia católica de Shodoshima y a 2,5 km del templo Honkaku-ji. Great value for money, located right by the port, with great access to the rest of the island. The host was friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to help, despite the langugage barrier (which with a little google translate, really isn't so much a barrier nowadays anyway). Also, I received a free room upgrade! Who can complain!
