The staff was very accommodating and friendly. There were 3 hosts that I interacted with, 2 men and one woman (Sorry ya'll I am terrible with names), and all were very nice and helpful. They helped with suggestions for restaurants, where to visit, what cool anime to watch, and even offered to help me purchase train tickets when I lost my wallet (woops!). This was a very comfortable and friendly environment for a solo first time traveler to Japan and I am very thankful for their help and welcoming nature. I would 100% recommend Ryokan Suzuran and look forward to visiting here again next time!

Fantastic location. Super quiet, 2minutes walk from osaka uehommachi. Direct access to Nara, airport, metro,... Room was super large and comfortable. Easy communication by email, just googletranslate the replies. Definitely recommended.

The location and cost was very good to explore Osaka. Given that it wasn’t smack in the centre of Dotonbori, it meant we had good quiet nights to sleep and rest.

Located near Dotonbori, it is convenient to move around, and there is a bathhouse, so it was nice to have time to relieve fatigue

Really special homely and welcoming ryokan, and so beautiful! Made my trip so special staying here and it was so lovely to make new friends here. Loveliest rooms (I stayed in 2 rooms because of how I booked it), cute little bar where I had such a delicious coffee in the morning, beautiful art on the walls and the most wonderful people working and living there.
