We had to move rooms multiple times due to issues ranging from hot water not working, power tripping out regularly and air conditioner not working. All rooms were cleaned daily, however due to limited maintenance over the years they were quite run down and not up to standard, especially given how much they cost. The distance between restaurant and the family apartments is quite lengthy, and then the distance to the shuttle boat is even further - which was quite challenging with little ones. There were a number of facilities not up and running (eg. No pool bar), and the pools were quite rundown. Overall, we had hoped to be have a much more comfortable stay after spending so much money on what is advertised to be a high quality resort, however we’re let down immensely.

Location was great and the staff were incredibly kind. Snorkelers cove was good fun.

The Noise. Port Vila is unbelievably noisy. Music is always played really loud. There was a Night Club directly opposite our bungalow which played really, really loud music until 3am Tuesday to Saturday. No sleep. This gave us two peaceful nights out of 7 nights. I was so tired. Also on Sunday from about 1pm to 6pm there is a religious church meeting in Port Vila and once again the music and service were really, really loud. Very hard to relax. If you got a bungalow that was past the Infinity restaurant and bar I think the noise issue would be better as these bungalows do not directly face Port Vila. Wifi really bad but this seems to be all of Vanuatu. The staff try hard but the customer service is lacking. Iririki Island and Vanuatu have so much potential. I know they have had to deal with Covid and the cyclone but it is just not there and really needs TLC.

We had a premium overwater bungalow which was spacious and it was lovely to hear the water lapping below. The shuttle service to Port Vila was good and the guys on the shuttle were fantastic. I have to mention Moana as she was fantastic - really fantastic customer service.

    Nothing to dislike

The staff are so helpful and will do what they can to make your stay enjoyable. The island is close to the main town centre by access with a short ferry trip that runs 24/7. The facilities are great including multiple pools, kayaking, a well equipped gym and of course restaurants serving delicious food. The snorkelling at Snorkelers Cove was incredible.

Flies, so damn many and they were everywhere - to be fair Iririki cant control that, but there was NOTHING in place to ease the issue either. They were EVERYWHERE you couldnt leave anything uncovered. Guests learnt off each other to build tents with napkins to cover their food and drinks. All of the above but with MOSQUITOS - so bad we gained the nicknames Spotty Wot and Dotty Wot My bluetooth speaker was taken from the Bar area, my fault but I wouldntve had it out there if their speaker system was working consistently Breakfast - the omelette guy kept disappearing LOL he probably had another job he had to do but still, we didn't pay alot of money just so we can hunt down the omelette guy - the food in the chiller part was covered in gladwrap but you know people and kids, the food was unwrapped alot of the time Pool - signs said Kids over 12 have to swim at the other pool, kids went to other pool which is quite a hike and it was closed! Come on kids want to abide by the rules but your need to be clearer. Fix the Wifi - data is so expensive in Vanuatu and because there were flight cancellations we really needed consistent access to make sure we could get home. Also only consistently works in the bar area, good luck if your room is not near there. Showers - Mine was a dribble and lukewarm Please get some golfcarts or something, its a beautiful hilly island we would have explored more but I've had a stroke and I almost keeled over in the heat getting our bags up the hill to our room, I mean seriously. Also I had a charge that cant have been mine, it was for food at the Casino, I know it wasnt mine because I dont know where the Casino is and I'd have to walk up the hill again.

pool was great and so was the customer service

The list is huge... Check in was late and slow and rude. Food was very poor, the only good meal was the Mee Goreng at the Infinity Bar. The service was terrible, we waited 3 hours for lunch one day - no apology, and it wasn't pleasant once it arrived. We were aware the island was getting back to staff levels post covid etc... but if you don't have enough staff, don't open up to full capacity. You couldn't handle it. Many staff were pretty rude, they were over being complained to which i get but it wasn't the guests fault From what I saw from guests, we laughed about it as weren't sure how else to react. Guests were trying to be patient and fair - but it really was poor. There didn't appear to be any solid systems or processes for the staff so they did what they could I guess. Rubbish and food trays left around (i took photos...as it took 3 days for a room service tray to be removed from our neighbours door). There was broken appliances sitting around, we had a broken washing machine at our entrance for the entire stay, a broken dryer on the other side of our walkway. We ended up eating off the island for most dinners as you didn't have to wait for ages, food options were so much better and was good to spend money on the mainland as well. We will definitely be back to Vanuatu, but not Iririki. Which is a shame, it could be so good, the property is amazing and unique but how it is being managed it very poor and quite sad. Friends that had been there before said it had deteriorated so much. Sad sad sad. We did have an AMAZING stay at Paradise Cove which exceeded all our expectations - so if you want someone amazing to stay in Vanuatu go there.

We didn't have the best stay at Iririki which is super sad...because it isn't cheap. But the New Years Eve celebration was brilliant - it was the only amazing meal we had at Iririki, entertainment was great and we had a fabulous time. We also really liked the pools and having options of pools, but the big pool area needs alot of work, the pool needs a good scrub and probably some work on the light fittings hanging off.

Badly run, spoke to Island Manager about my issues and he dint care. What I booked is not what i initially received in relation to accommodation. No welcome pack to tell you what is happening on the Island or in Vanuatu (tours, happy hour etc) Night meals were poor for the cost charged Seafood and BBQ expensive however quality of food was very average for price No one could tell you what on offer for the Special nights was. Facilities and accommodation need TLC for what was charged. I could go on and on.

Very disappointed that the pools weren’t all open when we arrived, Our room was a pool side room and the pool in front of it was empty. The service was slow, the food was rubbish. Overpriced and not ready to open due to covid. I sent multiple emails prior to leaving asking if pools ready, meant to open 1 sept not open by 24 sept . Lots of walking as the island was big, not suitable for little kids if walking from one end to the other. The grounds were terrible, long grass rubbish left, room serving was sporadic, dishwasher didn’t work, waited 3 days for the safe to be fixed. No lights at night at the rear of the island, so walking back in the pitch black was appalling. I’d wait 6 months to a year before visiting this facility.

it was close to town Joe was the only energised hard working staff member I came across.

Not suitable for kids at all as they are not ready for them. The kids pool was empty, kids playground needs a huge revamp and was closed and dangerous when we were there. Kids club has old broken toys in it and it is not air conditioned. Rooms need to be renovated and lots of things not working in them. Our tv didn’t work the whole time and our toilet didn’t flush for the first 24hrs

Friendly staff, beautiful view from resort and rooms. Lovely adults pool, good cocktails.

Ten years of deferred maintenance have destroyed this once-magnificent resort. It is falling down, huge portions of it (including kids club and large pool) are unsafe and off-limits to guests. Ceiling fans don't work in ANY of the rooms (or front lobby). No request for a discount will be accepted, despite admitting that they are not ready for guests. The experience is VERY different from the luxurious image on the website. The floor in our bathroom was so soft we actually were afraid we would fall through it, and the room sloped so much that the doors had a two inch gap on the top left and bottom right, which allowed all kinds of visitors to come in... centipedes, geckos, spiders and mosquitoes. Despite being recently cleaned, our floor was covered with dirt and leaves at the entry when we checked in. That's how big the door gaps were. We met the owner, who half-heartedly apologized but wouldn't give a discount. People who brought kids for the big pool and kids club were PISSED. Even more than we were.

Bar and Restaurant are beautiful. Staff are friendly, if not well trained. Food was hit-and-miss. Mosquitoes ate us alive during dinner, which could have been minimized with a little landscape maintenance. Restaurant has a beautiful indoor-outdoor feel, gorgeous flowers and architecture (despite several active wasps nests in the restaurant lobby). The rest of the property feels like it is ready to fall into the sea.
