We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United States of AmericaThe rain flooded in front the hotel and damaged my expensive shoes. She almost slipped trying to avoid the flood waters in front the hotel rooms. There were bugs all over the bed I had to knock off. The front door of the hotel was hard to open be ause the moisture made the door swell. Breakfast prices should be reduced a little bit. There should be signs going up the mountain to find the hotel. Tourist should not have to wonder which way to turn. We had to find someone to escort us up to the hotel. Deal breaker!
We enjoyed the hotel room and space. The customer service was great. The food was great. The scenery at night is beautiful.

United States of AmericaThere was issues with the room key for one of the guests in my party (initially). I found this concerning and an inconvenience for my guest, who had to go to the desk each time leaving the room to gain reentry. After speaking with management, I felt good business would have been to compensate my guest for the inconvenience and time it took to resolve the problem, however, the manager felt an apology was sufficient. I disagree. Also, the suite as beautiful as it was, didn't smell clean to me. I couldn't help but to want scented candles to override the smell of "dirt" that hits you when you first walk in. Eventually, you don't notice it, however, off putting just the same. Lastly, no receipt was offered or emailed with the itemized final costs. This has proved problematic, in that, my guests as well as myself, were overcharged for accommodations received (i.e., duplicate room charges, etc.). To that end, this is taking a while to resolve and could have been prevented with a receipt at check-out.
The location, with its private beach, views of the ocean from every room, and just the peacefulness of the environment has me lost for words (breathtaking/a spiritual experience). This was a birthday gift to myself and first trip to the islands. Can't wait to do it again.

If they have time to sing and dance then they should devote just as much vigor to serving the guest what they ordered in a timely matter. There is nothing wrong with having a good time with the guests it is a resort< this I know but there's a time to work and a time to play they need to be taught how to do both without compromising guest satisfaction,
Breakfast was super good.The morning staff was better than dinner staff.I ate at the dinner restaurant nightly cause I didnt venture off campass and wish I had. The wait time from ordering anything including water to receiving it was rediculously long.

United States of AmericaCalling the Carambola Resort "modern luxury" is lie and false advertisement. It isn't luxury to email and call repeatedly without any response before, during, and after the stay. It isn't luxury to not have your room ready 2 hours past the check-in time and wait in line for 20 minutes. It isn't a luxury to have stained sinks, stained ironing board, stained cushions, a broken faucet, an old smell, and chipped paint. It isn't luxury that the restaurants didn't have many items available on the menu. The decor may have been "renovated" years ago but everything was chipping and an eye sore. While the staff was nice but they are highly understaffed from reception to the restaurants to house keeping. We left the trip early because the trip was not enjoyable. What a terrible experience. Unfortunately, I would never recommend this to anyone.
