Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MexicoRooms were clean and very big which is good for a family. Breakfast really delicious with a lot of options. Staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had and they helped us to call a Taxi several times. Location was great, too, as it is not far from the main attractions.

United Arab EmiratesNothing really major to mention here, the wi-fi could have been better and the TV remote had no fresh batteries, which actually we turned into our advantage spending quality time together.
This hotel is located in the center of the town making it easy to explore by foot. The building is beautiful with spacious and well designed rooms in an old faction style. The staff were really kind and helpful and we got an amazing homemade breakfast every day of our stay.

United StatesThe internet was a little spotty but not a big problem as we were out most of each day sightseeing. The bathroom was massive but our shower leaked no matter how we arranged the curtain. Again, not a big deal we just needed to be careful when we got out.
The hotel was clean and the owners incredibly accommodating. We ended up needing to park our car a few days early before our stay and they helped us with that. The breakfast was nice each day. The room was so big and lovely for me, my husband and son.

IndiaThis place is truly amazing! A beautiful house converted into a luxurious home stay at surprisingly reasonable rates. The hosts - a couple - are exceptionally nice, warm and friendly. Superb individualised hot breakfast too! A true gem of Samarkand.

CanadaStaff were very helpful and the breakfast was lovely. If you want to stay in the Russian area this is a good pick - taxis (Yandex) in Samarkand are plentiful and cheap so you don't need to be next to the attractions. This is a nice area for restaurants and shops, and local life.

Absolutely fabulous. An old style place with everything done properly. Large comfortable bed. Quiet location and a short(ish) taxi ride from the main attractions. A great breakfast, individually laid out rather than a help your self buffet. Highly recommended.

United StatesLarge room small bathroom.
Great hotel, however, more like a guest house. Staff was very helpful and respectful. Good breakfast. My room was huge with high ceilings and large windows. Bathroom was small. Great location. Hotel was managed by owner, wife and grandson. Very nice people. I felt like i was at home. Huge dinning/livingroom area where you can relax and watch tv with some tea and treats. Loved it there. Would go back again.

BelarusThe hotel is very cozy, located in the center, but very quiet. There are many cafes and restaurants around, several museums and parks. The bathroom is very spacious, bright and clean. There are a lot of very beautiful old things in the lobby and dining room. In the courtyard you can relax and drink tea on a topchan or on the sofa, there is also a swimming pool. The breakfast is excellent, both adults and children will like it. The hosts are very helpful and at the same time unobtrusive. Living there, there is a feeling that you have come to visit friends or relatives, but not rented a hotel room.

GermanyThey didnt have any cribs even though it says that they have. also, they have only single beds and no double bed. the smell from the toilets covered the whole room and ruined the few hours that I had to spend in the hotel. I wouldnt have paid so much money if I knew that they didnt have any cribs and double beds. My advise to families with small children is to avoid this hotel.
Nothing, it was a disasterous stay
