Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was nothing that my friend and I did not totally love. Tui Blue Bahri Zanzibar is as close to heaven on eart earth that you could get.
Outstandingly beautiful resort, all inclusive. We wanted for nothing. The food was superb. Special thanks to the fabulous Chef Kabaka and his personal service, the always smiling Kawther so ready to help, Mazahar the very best customer service rep on the planet Earth, Selma who orchestrated everything imaginable, Mr.Hassan from food and beverage, the best manager Javier, and Sabastian the feline greeter. Special thanks also to all of the housekeeping staff and restaurant employed who could not be more pleasant. I also want to mention that the food was incredible, all very fresh and authentic. The staff went to very great lengths to arrange special dining experiences such as Food of Zanzibar on the Beach and Poolside Dining. Every night their was outstanding entertainment . My favorite was the Masai Performance. Special thanks also to Regina who was so sweet and kind and gave me the best massage of my life and Latina who did the same for my friend. The spa manager was also wonderful and the spa was lovely. The two pools were so clean and beautiful and we received special services be on the lively beach from Mazaher. As you probably have guessed we plan to go back every year and nowhere else! As close to heaven as possible on earth! Our room (Junior Suite) was lovely the view was breathtaking. All of the grounds were immaculately maintained with special gardens. There just is no place like it and no people like all of the staff that cared for our every need with such big hearts and smiles.

Czech RepublicEverything was great, but I am just not that sure about price-performance ratio here, compared to other hotels in Zanzibar. We experienced also quiet a lot of electricity outages, few lasted over 1 hour during the night, so without AC your room gets much warmer than what you would prefer. That might be just related to some local problem in our part of the hotel, as I think due common electricity outages on Zanzibar, this Hotel has backup, but no-one really informed us or offered anything. Another issue is that resort is rather huge, there is a lot of guests, which attracts beach boys. Not like this would be hotel problem, but beach boys were really annoying and made walking on the beach during low-tide or swimming really uncomfortable. Altought hotel security made all efforts to keep them out of the hotel-property part of beach, still they were as close as they could, shouting to guests, asking for money, offering nonsense service or gifts. Best recipe to them is just to say NO once and ignore them.
Food was great, staff was helpfull and friendly, hotel area contains a lot of trees, plants, gardens, it is very green and nice, one doesn't have a feeling that every space available was used for staffing more rooms, App for booking various adventures or in-hotel events like Swahili lessons were great. Outdoor dinner with barbeque was also very nice variation and meels vere delicious as well as drinks at the beach Zanzi-BAR.

CyprusNothing. Everything was perfect
Everything about the property was amazing. From the greeting on the first day to how every person working at Tui says « Jambo » or Hello as soon as they encounter a client. Everybody working here was very well trained at welcoming to customers and making them feel at home. The gardeners were doing a great job at keeping the gardens beautiful and blooming. The room was beautiful, very well kept and clean. The atmosphere was relaxing. The food was delicious and there was always more than enough variety and quantity. Breeze restaurant was out of this world, we had a lobster soup and a lobster for main course, I can say it was the best lobster I tasted in my life. A special thanks to the food and beverages director Mr Hassan that really went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and happy, thank you Mr Hassan! Every day and all day long there are pleasant activities and every night there is a show. Our daughter was thrilled with the activities, the pool and the beautiful gardens and stunning sea. One can go walk about 1 km in the sea when the tides are low. The sunrise is absolutely stunning at this location. This was truly one of the best stays of our lives. Thank you! We definitely recommend this resort!

SpainThe times where you can swim at the beach are very limited due to the high and low tides and the ocean was full of seaweed. Unfortunately there is too much plastic and glass on the Pwani beach, also the locals who constantly approach you are very annoying when you want to go for a swim or walk. We thought the pool would be ideal for swimming laps according to the online photos, however it was always too busy due to activities and the number of guests. Also the water temperature was the hottest we have ever experienced, more like a jacuzzi.
Room was very spacious and bed was comfortable no back pain in the morning which is often the case in many hotels. Many fresh produce to choose from and also local specialities available at the buffet. African night at the beach was very special and also enjoyed the locals coming to perform. Outdoor work out space for classes was superb and also the trainers were very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We spent two weeks at TUI Blue Bahari, including Christmas and New Year and we highly recommend the resort. The service in all areas was great and all hotel personnel was customer oriented. The TUI app is useful and easy to use to reserve restaurants and activities. Speaking of activities, we were the only guests participating at the Swahili Language and Hotel Tour activities while the occupancy rate of the hotel was about 95%. I recommend getting involved while in Zanzibar. Locals appreciate so much the Swahili words/expressions learnt and discovering the hotel premises that are inaccessible to tourists and the management team was a pleasure. The administrative chief is very creative and resourceful, the laundry operation manager is very dedicated and organized and Chef Ali was great explaining us the processes and the reasons behind the very tasty and diverse food courses. I need to emphasize that the food was great every day and in all restaurants. We also liked the fact that there is no limitation to book a la carte restaurants. Chef Ali was so kind to offer some fruits and spices to takeaway. And last, I need to mention Hassan, the head of the restaurant team – he was there every day form the early morning hours until late at night, always watching every detail. We felt great at TUI and we would gladly chose it again: the rooms are clean and spacious, the beach and the views are spectacular, the personnel is great and makes you feel simply hakuna matata.

South AfricaOur flight arrived on the island at around 3:00am arriving at location at around 5:00am. The hotel wanted to charge an additional $100 for an early check-in. While most “check-in” standards around the world are 2:00pm, a hotel is generally accommodating to the fact that if the only port of entry allows for an early arrival, and a room is available they allow early check in’s. A guest starts the holiday off at the check in process and it’s frustrating to fight over $100 when most guests are going to spend thrice that amount at the resort. Snacks were also limited at the bar areas and could be improved on. People like nibble to while they drink.
Great variety of activities to keep guests from getting bored at the resort. I enjoyed the hanging yoga and mindfulness exercises. The wine tasting was also fun with other activities you can participate in such as cocktail making. These are all included as part of the package and you just need to book a slot so you don’t pay extra for them. The food and catering selection now offer a bigger range from the previous owners. Loved the cheese and fruit selections at all meals. The different restaurants are still there to pick from which adds to the holiday experience. Management are visible daily and interact positively with holiday makers. Like one guest said she found the staff very friendly and more personal than a hotel she had just come from. The cocktail menu’s at the bars are also a good selection. The coffee is exceptional.

We just came back from our dream holidays in Tui Blue Zanzibar. We stayed in one of the Villas for five days, including the New Years Eve, when the hotel planned a memorable dinner followed by a party and presentations of local dancers and artist performances. The Villa is very comfortable and beautifully designed, and the private pool is just amazing. We also enjoyed all the activities planned for the guests and the variety of food offered in the restaurants. I would like to thank you all the amazing and cheerful staff, specially the Tui Blue Guide Celestine, who planned all the details of our memorable stay, booked the transfers and gave us all the top tips for the extra activities. You are amazing! Big thanks also to Hussein, who arranged our day trips in the island, and to Eva and Richard, who guided us through a unforgivable 2 hour walking in the reefs in front of the hotel.
