Breakfast was average enough but it did vary so it was fine… you are isolated if you don’t have a scooter but a nice place to really relax with the partner…ac never quite seemed to get cool enough but it was super hot… overall I would likely go back…steep climb back to the villa after walking down to the beach…

Nice property, rooms by the pool were worth the extra price… pools were nice to have a dip as it was hot hot… friendly staff especially Pim who helped out with everything quickly and with a smile, can get scooters at the hotel which you really need if you want to go see a few places around the island without spending cash on the super-pricey taxis… Tanote bay is beautiful and I love to swim so it was amazing to swim out far and see the fish and the scuba divers doing their thing without the busy ness of the boats around….

The pool areas and furniture could do with a little updating.

The hotel is located a short walk away from Tanote Bay which had the best snorkelling we seen on the island after trying several other spots. Rooms were nice and we had a lovely view.

the staff especially at the reception is not that friendly especially in comparison to the level of hospitality and friendliness in thailand you are used to as a Tourist. The Communication is really Bad, they are very unflexible with check in/check out and we did not feel welcome at all. The Hotel is already a bit older and you can See it. The breakfast is not special or exciting at all as well as the normal menu.

Air con wasn’t great and balcony door didn’t shut fully, but that’s me being picky!! Food was ok, not many veggie options at breakfast but plenty of choice of eggs.

Fabulous views. Great location overlooking Tanote Bay. Lovely swimming pools. Lovely balcony to sit out on with a beer. Good value drinks in the mini bar. Complimentary taxi runs a couple of times a day. I didn’t need to use this as I had hired a scooter. Plenty of parking.

Everything was perfect! One little thing that could be optimized is to put a small lamp in the rooms for darker/indirect lightning in the evening. Apart from this little idea - 10/10

WOW!! Amazing accomodation with lovely rooms, beautiful outside area with breathtakibg view and jungle vibes and super friendly staff. Great PLUS: best snorkling spot straight in front the location (3 Minutes walking distance) - just beautiful!

Some areas of the resort were showing their age on closer inspection. Tiles were falling off the main swimming pool in many places and the whole lot needs re-tiling. The showers in our rooms were very poor and in need of replacement. We had much better showers in places that were half the price during out trip. However, these are minor issues and didn't detract much from our overall enjoyment of the resort.

Stunning views from this hilltop location. Staff were unfailingly polite and helpful at all times during our stay. If you have kids then the 2 pools will clinch the deal. The restaurant has an extensive menu and the food is excellent. The adjoining rooms for a family of 4 were enormous. They also have a pool table and table tennis table to keep the kids amused. Ao Tanote beach is a 5 min walk down a steep hill but worth the effort for the superb snorkelling around the rocks in the middle of the bay and around the sides.

Food could have been better and expected the room to be a bit nicer / brighter / more modern, nicer bathroom but on the whole was perfect for a few nights

We loved that the hotel was only a ten minute drive to the main area but felt away from the back packer area and felt super chilled. Hotel were very helpful with arranging taxis, snorkelling trip which was the best we’ve done and picking up up! The pools were beautiful

I think the food was okay at the restaurant but as it is the easiest option it would be nice if it was better!! The staff will swap options for tofu if requested, but it doesn't say that on the menu. Breakfast was okay.

Swimming pools were gorgeous and huge. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The ability to book massages, sort laundry and sort tours through the hotel. The views from the hotel were amazing of the bay, just be warned there is a walk to the beach. The snorkeling at the beach was amazing. The garden villa (p3) felt nice and secluded and was really quiet. Loved the terrace. Free shuttle available to pier (twice a day). I would definitely recommend!

It’s on the other side of the island’s centre, so one can only use the hotel’s quite expensive taxi service or rent a scooter, which isn’t really recommended due to steep hills.

Amazing and really big pool, surrounded by trees. Our room had a wonderful view to the pool and the sea further ahead. There is a footpath which leads to a beautiful beach, quite crowded but I think it’s the best beach of Koh Tao. The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was fine too!

The restaurant wasn't the best. Breakfast was disappointing. My wife was taken ill with pneumonia during our stay so our holiday wasn't the best.

We used the complimentary shuttle to the pier one day and the scheduled return shuttle never showed up. We reached out via Whatsapp and were lied to once they replied (the lie: he's been there waiting since 4:30pm). It took an hour before the driver showed up; it's a 15 minute drive from the hotel to the pier. We understand things happen, but why not be truthful? It was very off-putting.

While the location is remote, it was exactly what we were looking for from a resort. The breakfast is one of the better we've had at hotels: well labeled and wide selection of items. We stayed a week and there were always new dishes to sample. There is a complimentary shuttle to/from the pier (twice daily). The hotel also picked us up when the ferry arrived. We most liked Tanote Beach, direct access from the hotel; the snorkeling is amazing, but it is quite crowded in the water. The hill from/to the resort is a doozy, but you can take your time still arrive within 5 minutes.

Breakfast could have had some more variety and maybe a later shuttle time so you could go to the town in the evenings.

Lovely stay at Tanote! Rooms were a great size, pool area was really nice and staff were friendly. A bit out of town but there are some good bars and restaurants within walking distance and there is a free shuttle into the port every day.

The location marked on booking is misleading. It shows that it is directly on the beach, but it is 5-10 minutes by walk (depending on which room you choose). But the location was beautiful, so in the end, I did not mind. The room was a bit loud for me because I am not used to the constant sound of ventilation/AC (which you can hear even if the one in your room is off).

Beautiful location surrounded by greenery, a beautiful sea view. Very nice and friendly staff. Free shuttle to the town 2x per day. The restaurant has a very nice design. Tanote Bay is absolutely fantastic for snorkelling, and if you want to explore more, there is an option to book snorkelling trips directly in the hotel.

The location of this property was away from the busy area of Koh Tao. The beach infront of the resort is great for snorkeling and swimming. There are two large pools with a great view

The unfriendly lady at the reception reduced enjoying our stay at the Tanote. She really made us feel uncomfortable most of the times. The bathroom was very dirty and seemed never to be cleaned.

The pool was spacious and had a great view. The beach was not too far away and very good for snorkeling. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly. Thank you!

It’s far from everything but there is a shuttle bus that comes 2 times per day. The last pick up from the center is at 4PM.

It’s a beautiful place with an incredible view. The rooms are very comfortable and big with the see and swimming pool view. Staff is very friendly especially the hotel driver! ☺️
