If you do not like cats and dogs, this is not the place for you. My only regret was to only stay one night.

This hotel will make you feel like home! It is rather small, but that only makes it more cosy. The host was welcoming and helped me storage my luggage after check-out - I was even allowed to use the common areas still during the Day. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Nungwi! And I will be back for sure. Great value for money.

The breakfast was better compared to other hotels nearby, but it could be much improved. The fried foods and eggs, in particular, could be better. (It's generally the same around Zanzibar)

We have spent around a week at this hotel and nearby hotels. It has a great location near the seaside. The staff, especially Mr. Alp, were very positive and helpful. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-furnished with new items. Mosquito nets on the beds were in perfect condition and effective. The air conditioning worked very well. Pool was clean, the sunbeds and hammocks were comfortable. Loved the upcycled local materials in decor & abundance of art pieces everywhere. We pretty much enjoyed staying here. They offer transfer from/to airport for a reasonable price which i would definitely recommend. Also while there were fewer mosquitoes on the outdoor places of the hotel than at nearby hotels, caution is still advised.

location is in the north of Zanzibar, meaning quite far to visit the whole island and particularly the south part

The managers are really kind, very calm location, near everything (beach, restaurants, bars...), nice swimming pool, size of rooms is perfect, excellent and rich breakfast from 7.30 till when you want!, restaurant open the whole day and food is tasteful, possibility to schedule transfer from and/to airport with an excellent driver and a nice van, clear communication from the manager to detail all possibilities...

Babalao Bungalows was exceptionally good. Alp was an excellent host. He was extremely helpful. The food was amazing. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very artistically designed with fabulous art works all over. Alp really knows how to run a good ship. The property was 300 meters to the beach and close to shops and an ATM. The food was fabulous definitely the best in Nungwi. I can definitely recommend Babalao to anyone coming to Nungwi.

The water pressure in the room was very low and the blanket for the bed was small for regular sized people. We notified the host when we left, and he told us he will fix it.

Nice and cozy community space with a swimmingpool, sunbeds, a bar, restaurant, sofas, tables, boardgames and more. The staff was sweet and helpful. The host Alp was dedicated to being available and helpful throughout the entire day.

The stay at Babalao was amazing! Since we arrived Alp welcomed us and gave all the information about the place and surroundings. We also met Yahya, another lovely manager from the place that was on every detail as well. He helped me with some medicine I needed and made sure we had a great stay. The food from the restaurant was delicious🤤 10/10. Breakfast was a different plate every day (I would personally prefer more like a buffet where you can choose but overall was good). They offer tea, coffee and water for free whenever you want through out the day. Pool, music, board games and nice environment to chill and enjoy your holiday. Everything you need is there

This place is an absolute gem! We had the most fantastic few days at Babalao, and enjoyed every second of it. Alp and Yahya and the rest of the staff really made us feel at home. Super cozy environment, nice little swimming pool, and an in-house restaurant with great food! We ended up having most of our meals here, just because of the fact that the food was THAT good. Can especially recommend the seafood wrap, it's to die for! All in all, after four times in Zanzibar, this is definitely the best place I have stayed at in Nungwi.

I do not recommend going on the swimming with dolphins excursion, which was very sad and cruel towards the dolphins and starfish.

The place was excellent with friendly service and a good location. I felt at home and didn't want to leave. I highly recommend it to everyone.

We spent one night in Babalao Bengalows, and it was just perfect by all means ! The location is maybe 100m from the beach, the place is peacefull and really beautiful. It’s Well organized so You can just come and enjoy your stay as You wish: event or Any excursion/ taxi drive can be organized by the event manager, the pool is lovely and well equiped, the rooms got airconditionner, ventilator, and are clean and comfy. The owner, is just really Nice and helpfull, You can Rely on him to help you spend good holidays! If I knew I would have stay more than one night! Thanks a lot
