The main thing I disliked was the pillows on the bed, they weren’t firm and deflated after a while

I found the door to the room very difficult to open.

The breakfast was excellent. It was a very good selection. It was a little cold the first morning so I came down earlier the next day. The location is ideal for accessibility to the cinema, shops and restaurants.

This hotel is used by a lot of business people, workers (in the Oil & Gas industry (Haliburton was one company)) who wear their coveralls to and from the hotel. The problem is that some people wear them in the restaurant area at breakfast, and sit on the soft furnishings in the lounge area in them. Some of the coveralls are visibly dirty, properly mucky. If these people are selfish and rude enough not to care for the nice facilities they are in, the hotel should take action and ban workwear in the lounge/bar/restaurant areas. The hotel does not, and for the price of staying there it is not acceptable to have to sit on chairs and sofas that oilfield service company workers are using in their industrial boots and coveralls. If the hotel wants to retain business travellers and families on vacation as customers they must set acceptable standards; or promote themselves correctly as a facility where there is no dress code and oily, greasy, dirty industrial wear is allowed.

The location is excellent. The housekeeping staff were great, that did a wonderful job every day. The downstairs staff were friendly, polite and eager to please. The facilities were comfortable. It was a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was superb, more choice than expected and the food was delicious. When I returned in the afternoon there were complimentary soft drinks on the bar. During the days when the pool was being maintained there were complimentary snacks in the lounge area.

I loved the person who checked us in...she was so hospitable. I told her it was my sons bday, so we decided to treat him to a night at Marriot and evening of fun at the carousel with his friends....when we were at the carousel, she arranged a surprise for us in our room...a cake and a balloon...he was overjoyed...he turned 8...and his words were "I feel like a King". Thank you for your fabulous service and wonderful facilities. Breakfast was lovely as well.

We went for the carnival season and the courtesy extended during this period was excellent. Things we appreciated - Outdoor showers available (towels, slippers, bath scrubs, etc) on days with a major event involving paint. - Associated with a taxi service that was great for events starting early morning and ending late nights - worked well if you plan not to drive - Daily "taste of Trinidad" to sample local dishes

It would be better if we could have paid in TT with our credit- and debitcard, and not USD.

Breakfast was good. The staff (everyone) are very friendly, caring and hospitable. This is not a neutral international boring hotel, but a place to call home. The backyard with the pool and loungearea was very nice to hang out in.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like. It was a short stay so I was unable to find anything that I was not comfortable with.
