No river view. The listing clearly stated it, which was a main reason for choosing it, but the view from our room was of tin roofs. And when we protested, Mr Grumpy, the manager was beyond unapologetic. Indeed, he was surly at best throughout. And the aircon groaned like a cow in labour, to such an extent it had to be turned off at night - not ideal with night temperatures in the late 20s.

The place has character. A jetty over the river, lovely rooms of rich, polished wood, well-tended flowers and shrubs. It's a nice place to be. And most of the people were great - friendly and helpful.

The house has very thin walls so we could hear everything thru the walls. Surroundings on the other hand are quiet and nice. There’s a really nice temple right on the corner. The resraurant doesn’t serve breakfast but there are places to get coffee and a 7/11 near by. The room is pretty basic, but I’d say good enough for the price. Lot of mosquitos in the terrace area.

Location is good and the restaurant serves nice food. Fridge is a nice plus.

Very rustic which I usually like, but this was at the far end of my comfort zone (could see daylight through one wall), possible large rodent ran by while sitting at restaurant table, large number of fighting cats, overall charming but rough around the edges so check expectations

Fabulous location on the river, booked because I could walk to public boat transportation system, peaceful, now has breakfast and coffee, lovely hanging orchid collection, note this is a genuine Thai setting, not westernized, very little English, authentic

Amazing riverside restaurant with 4 rooms. The beds were comfy, rooms clean and in a quaint house out the back of the huge restaurant. Fantastic food and view. The staff were lovely and helpful.

Location was not good. You really are forced to take a Grab every single time to go anywhere, as there really isn't anything around to walk to. Only a 7 eleven. We stayed 3 days, so 2 trips a day for about £4, gives you £25 extra to invest in a better located place in Khao San or somewhere where you won't need to pay just to go out and eat something. We would do that in another visit. Also down in the restaurant at night there's a ton of mosquitoes, which makes it a bit uncomfortable for us to enjoy. Also a bit expensive for our taste. Wifi worked, but speed wasn't too great.

The room was clean and spacious, and being next to the river and all wood makes it a rather unique place to stay. Different from most other hotels. Ceiling fan and AC, and a good enclosed shower. Nothing to complain about the room really.

Good location as far as being on the river but not very close to some of the sights/shops/ that tourists would like to see. Very little to see within walking distance of the hotel.

I liked having a restaurant as part of the hotel and the river view from the restaurant. The room was basic but met our needs at a reasonable price.

Amazing location, on the water, felt like I was living on a boat! Staff very friendly, not many spoke English, but enough to get by! Food also was excellent! Super cute garden and alter upon entry to the grounds and a board walk all around. Right on the canal so very easy to get around. Also a little market just next door and many vendors with coffee, fruits, etc. 7/11 just around the corner.

It’s in a very deprived area and the road u have to walk down could be very intimidating if your a single female traveller , room was small, shower tray leaked everywhere, rooms dark, stairs are a death trap ,

The only suggestion - please add the menu smth like crab meat omelet, otherwise there s nothing to eat for Europeans for breakfast, although it would have been great to seat outside with cup of coffee watching how the city is waking up.

А very cosy homelike hotel, feels like smth in between yacht and summerhouse, because it's on the river and all is wooden, old style beautiful furniture and window curtains. Yet a city center, 15 min drive from Payatai station (which is at airport and BTS line). 7 eleven close by. Hotel has a lovely restaurant exactly on the river. A very supportive staff, the lady kindly pressed my dress freeof charge. Very comfortable bed, hot shower, mosqitoes net on all windows. Feels very different from usual chain hotels, not like you are in busy city, but more like a village calm stay. Restaurant serves tasty Pad Thai, crab fried with pepper and vegs and other dishes. A very lovely orchards garden just when you enter the hotel and restaurant terrace. One of the best hotels I was staying in Bangkok for last 15 years, including Marriott and other chains.
