Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandWe got room only with built-in glass "window", without possibility to open it. The air conditioning was required to be on all the time.
Although the first impression wasn't amazing, the overall quality of services and accommodation was really good. Daily cleaning service, free minibar, water dispenser - everything made this stay comfortable. The room was quite small, but the setup was nice and convenient. The localization was great, near the two lines of metro (including EW to airport) and on the edge of Arab district and places with great food.

MalaysiaI was given a room on the ground floor close to the check-in counter. It smelled musty but generally fairly clean. My only gripe was that there was insufficient hot water to even have a decent short shower. Also if you are going to provide shower gel and shampoo, please make it not a watered-down version. What was provided was literally a little shower gel diluted with a lot of water. This property would be okay for a short overnight stay but not more than that.
The location was close to many eateries and within walking distance to Bugis MRT. Also it has a bidet which is a big plus for me!

MalaysiaIt is extremely overpriced due to taylor swift's concert. The room is small but understandable due to its star rating. The room is not very clean but still acceptable and comfortable. The rooms weren't soundproof so you might be awakened in the middle of the night by other guests. The only water dispenser ran out of water easily if a large amount of water was taken, had to wait for it to refill itself to continue refilling
It is situated in a strategic location, nearby Haji Lane, Arab Street, Bugis MRT Station and many shops including restaurants. Staffs were friendly. Nice lighting. They provide complimentary snacks and drinks too.

IndonesiaThe room has no windows, but it was informed in the booking so its not a big problem.
The hotel location is great. near to MRT Station and very close by to Kampong Glam. Walking distance to Bugis+ and Bugis Junction mall as well. The room is small just like typical hotel room in Singapore, but its comfortable and enough space to open an extra large luggage. The bed is also comfortable. Free water refill you can get yourself down the hall. We booked a non smoking room, and our room had a bit smell of smoke when we checked in. But the hotel staff is quickly move us to other room which doesn't have the smoke odor.

Czech RepublicThe room was too small for 2 people. The wash basin was not in the bathroom but in the room itself. The shower was over the toilet, the bathroom was constantly wet. The A/C was very loud and as there was no window in the room it made it impossible to switch it off (otherwise the room got hot and smelly). You can also clearly hear what is going on in neighbour’s bathroom. We were supposed to stay 4 nights, we checked out after 1 night.
The location is good, it’s close to MRT station (walking distance), and it’s also closed to shops and restaurants.

PhilippinesWhile the room is decent, I noticed that the sound of the AC is quite loud, if you are ok with some "white noise" I guess this would not be that much of an issue. Not sure if if I might have an allergic reaction on fabric conditioners but I felt a little itchy when I went under the covers to get some sleep. :| It was fine because I only booked for an overnight stay. Cups at the bathroom for toothbrush have molds so I did not use it. Since the shower area and toilet doesn't have a divider or even a floor partition, almost the entire bathroom floor got wet. I strongly advice to only place the floor mat after shower so it doesn't get too soaked. Hope they can also provide slippers to use once you get out of the bathroom.
With friendly and responsive staff online and at the desk, they were quick to note my earlier arrival and let me check-in 30 minutes earlier than the usual time. Their minibar is free. :) They have drinks like soda and juice plus some snacks. Major plus is the bidet in the bathroom because it doesn't seem a common feature for hotels with similar ratings in Singapore. I also appreciate their effort towards sustainability by having shampoo and shower gels in bottles at the bathroom and they provide a pitcher in each room so guests can easily refill water using the dispenser located at the ground floor. Location-wise, this is a good deal considering Bugis area is a vibrant vicinity with a lot of malls, shops, and restaurants. I took the train from the airport going to the hotel with a big luggage with me and it was easy to navigate the area. Bugis station is just a few blocks and Exit B has a lift for those carrying luggages and wheelchairs, plus Singapore's sidewalks are pedestrian-friendly. I always have a great time exploring Bugis for food and shopping. Haji Lane is just 2 minutes on foot, you can take photos of beautiful street art murals there with wonderful indie/hipster shops. If you also want to buy chocolates and other stuff for a relatively lower price, look for ABC Bargaining Centre at the back of Bugis Street.

SingaporeThey didn't have Netflix or any streaming platform on their TV. The table was a little small and uncomfortable for me to use my laptop. I also couldn't sit and read on the bed because of the lack of a back rest. They could have provided a chair or bedside table. The WiFi could be a little better.
The room was quiet ,clean, nice and cozy with beautiful lighting and furniture. They even provided complimentary drinks, snacks and toiletries.
