Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The location was excellent, an easy walk to the river, shopping and MRT. The room and bed were comfortable and a reasonable size. The laundromat was 2 doors away. Breakfast was included, and although basic it got us started for the day. We even used the pool which is not heated so not a spa, but it is big enough to relax in, not swim in. We got what we paid for, convenience and comfort, not luxury.

SwitzerlandSomehow, when I made a booking on Booking.com, I thought, as per the booking confirmation, that the Room, which I booked, was the last one, which was up-graded to "Executive", which, in reality, did not happen. Also, the confirmation said, that there is a gym at the hotel, which was not a case (it was no gym).
We liked the location a lot: proximity to Chinatown "HQ", food courts and the temples. Also, the MRT station was very close, and given an excellent infrastructure (including very easy ticketing prosedure), it was easy to go ANYWHERE! The hotel staff was very helpfull and nice as well.

United KingdomWe paid for breakfast as part of the room price, we were leaving for the airport at 0630 and breakfast didn't start until 0700 so we asked for a takeaway breakfast and they said no. This was disappointing and surprising in a '4 star hotel' in Singapore. Not to go to the airport hungry, the next morning we decided to eat at 0700 and leave straight away. The breakfast was served in the reception lobby, it was extremely limited, basic and felt unhygienic. It was served on polystyrene plates and disposable cups and cutlery. Really environmentally unfriendly.
STAFF, WI-FI - 5* PRICE, LOCATION, ROOMS - 4* VIEWS, BREAKFAST - 1* The staff were super friendly and the Wi-Fi very fast and reliable. Rooms were comfortable and the shower was powerful although there was little hot water in the morning. Location was great - 15 min walk to the Chinatown hawker food markets and 10 min walk to the river, with an extra 10 min around to the marina. Overall, for the price we paid (considering you're in Singapore) and the location it was in, it was reasonable. Breakfast was pathetic - both the refusal / inability to provide a take-away one when you've paid for it already (really so hard to give a croissant and a juice box?) and then the horrid way they served it in the lobby.

TurkeyRoom was big enough, it was well cleaned. The only minor minus - it is a little bit outdated. The breakfast is fine: boiled eggs, sausages, salad, toast, coffee and watermelon .Enough to get calories early in the day.

United StatesThings that made our stay not as comfortable. The room was small not even one stool or chair in room. No place for suitcase. One shared duffle bag will fit on a rack. The aircon turns off at night and it gets too warm. The room was well supplied but there were dust bunnies and hair everywhere.
The best thing about the hotel was the location. There was a refrigerator and hotpot in room. There are outlets at head of bed on one side. The receptionist who worked Jan 8th was wonderful. She was helpful and shared information to make our transition out of the city very smooth and easy. Thank you. We were in the new building just two doors down.

BelgiumThe breakfast seemed to cater to Asian guests. The butter and marmalade were not in single-dose packages but were served opened. Even though I had breakfast included in the room price, I had to go out for breakfast.
The hotel is very well situated, within walking distance of bars, restaurants, and public transport. The staff is very friendly. There is no swimming pool, but there is a nice hot tub. The room we stayed in was satisfactory.
