“It was very clean, nice staff thanks to Michael and his lovely wife, very modern, great view, very rich breakfast, air conditioning, there was no insect, so safe. Guests satisfaction is their goal. The price was reasonable. I paid around 65 euro and. the breakfast was really delicious. And it was great that they accepted a visa card.”
“Wonderful hosts.Nice, polite, calm people. Helped with any questions. Cleaning every day. A day or two later, change of linen and towels. The room has a safe, fan and refrigerator.”
“Beautiful Rustic Barefoot Robinson Crusoe Island. Best snorkelling and diving we have had…Coral is alive and loads of fish.. Fantastic staff, good food..”
“Eden Lodge, aptly named, is destined to be a slice of paradise on the stunning shores of the Ampasindava Peninsula. The setting is indeed magical, secluded from everything, nestled between a pristine beach and a lush botanical garden backed by a wild forest. The rich marine life includes turtles grazing on seagrass right in front of the lodge and a nearby reef for quick snorkeling sessions. We had the rare privilege of witnessing the nesting of a green turtle on the beach one night. On land, the presence of various lemurs, birds, lizards and more is quite astonishing to and greatly enhances the natural allure. Heaven for nature-lovers. The nocturnal walks, included in the free of charge activities, is the stand-out occasion to witness this - a must-do. Our guide, Sata, led us on two such walks during our 4-night stay, where we even discovered for the first time together a third type of lemur on-site, the Nosy Be Sportive Lemur, alongside the Black Lemur and Sambirano Fork-marked Lemur. Other free of charge activités in and around the lodge are available. I recommend to to a maximum of these to best discover the pristine nature around. Sleeping to the sounds of waves and the calls of the Sambirano Fork-marked Lemur will be sorely missed.
Additionally, the food here was excellent even if expensive compared to mainland, though it might be better to include more than one vegetarian meal option per day. Also, the main reception area felt a bit stark and could be better decorated to add more warmth to the lodge. Details here :)”
“If you looking for a quiet resort on the Island then this is the place to be. Lovely a huge swimming pool overlooking a very quiet beach. Food is good but pretty repetitive - same menu and breakfast options every day. Staff very friendly and efficient. Owner Phillipe can organise pretty much anything on the Island. The sunsets are magnificent and can be enjoyed from the privacy of your own bungalow. The snorkelling at the reef in front of the hotel is as good as any organised tour and reception will provide snorkels and googles. Take a 20 minute stroll up the beach to Bellamandy next door for lunch - very good.”
“Serene location with vast views of the ocean. I wandered in to Andilana beach, and although it’s a pretty beach, I was grateful to have picked a more peaceful location. Wonderful hospitality by bar and kitchen staff. Dany was super helpful in the lead up and during my visit. Previous reviews mentioned difficulties if you didn’t speak French. This was not my experience; English was widely spoken. A true gem.”
“The hotel ground are quite literally stunning. You have a private beach with incredible sunsets every night. There is a pool and the dining area looks out over the ocean. The staff are so so helpful and sort out everything for you and all of your itineraries. They also sorted all of our transport to and from the hotel. There are turtles in the water which you can snorkel and see and you can also take boat trips around the island. I really recommend this place, it’s totally unique!”
“Brand new apartment with western standards! Despite the very central location, just meters from the entertainment center of Nosy Be, the apartment is quiet: the builder did a great job with isolation. Air condition and ceiling ventilator are efficient and don't make any noise. As a result, no need to open the windows, less moskitos. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Bedding was very comfortable. Comparatively very high standards.”
