“We actually first booked BLT Residence (house nearby) with my father. Despite informing them in advance, and pushing car horn in front of the gate, nobody came. So there we were in DRC-Uganda border, two muzungus with car running out of fuel at midnight without accommodation. Rwenzori Base camp tour Holiday Inn saved us on last minute when booking just 30 minutes in advance in the middle of the night! Hosts were super-warm! Although the rooms were very modest – they were exceptionally clean, and the mosquito nets didn't have a single hole. You'll experience a warm welcome, a beautiful garden and great local food!”
