  • “What a wonderful experience! Stayed one night in the boat with a friend at very short notice after not staying in the hotel originally booked. Ahmed and his family made our stay very special and could not do enough for us. Excellent, tasty breakfast on deck in the morning. Good location, clean and tidy room with private bathroom with plenty of room. We came as strangers and left as friends! Thank you Ahmed, Karin, marayn and cutie Mohammed. I will stay again for sure on my next trip! Lots of love c”

“A family run cafe restaurant with home cooked tray food and drinks. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious. It was right next to the Habu temple. The cafe is colourful with great rustic furniture.”

“Austin the owner is a top bloke, very welcoming and accommodating. The flat itself was great, had everything you need.”

  • Luxor Oasis Guest House Review score: 10

“The hotel really is an oasis of peace and calm and I highly recommend. It has a lovely garden and small swimming pool. On the main patio is a large fridge for everyone to store cold drinks. When I arrived, I was given a delicious drink of lemon with mint. The breakfast is good and the staff arranged delivery of a good dinner for me in the evening. The west bank is the best side of Luxor to stay on, it is much calmer than the side where the Luxor Temple and big hotels are. All of the staff are very helpful - but Ibrahim is the very best and a great person to know. If you need anything, ask to discuss with him what you do (and don't) want to do and he will do his best to help you. The people who run the guest house are keen to uphold their reputation and will put you in touch with people you can trust if you want to explore the sites, plus you will pay a fair price. Ibrahim helped organised a day trip based on my requirements and the driver Ahmed who took me on a tour was kind enough to drive me all the way back when I forgot something. There is a small store around the corner run by a kind family and there are lots of good restaurants nearby. If you want to get to the hotel by yourself, you can use the busy local ferry and pay 10 EGP for a one-way crossing. A great place to stay.”

  • Happiness Guest House Review score: 10

“Excellent choice!!! We really enjoyed our stay to the maximum (9 days), location is on the west bank 1m walk from the Nile on very beautiful and quiet spot full of Egyptian nature. The terrace is really nice and the people there make you feel like home. Every morning enjoy your breakfast at the terrace, ask Nasser (owner) any questions you might have and start your day with all the activities Luxor can provide or even better follow Karim (REAL guide) on an ancient Egypt tour. Thank you guys :)”

  • Yasmine Guest House Review score: 10

“Nasser welcomed us perfectly. The room and the guesthouse are perfect. The meals are excellent and we were able to enjoy the swimming pool during the hottest hours and after the visits. Nasser makes us feel at home and it was successful. Thanks for everything”

  • Grand Hotel &Hostel Review score: 8

“It is near to Luxor Temple and to the Go bus and Railway Station, staff is nice. The bed is comfortable but there is no AC, so even with the fan, the air was too hot. But the hotel is nice and in a good location.”

  • “The Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor was amazing, providing us with a wonderful and cozy experience to explore Egypt. The boat was very clean with vintage decoration, and the service was good. The landscape around the river was beautiful, and the weather was perfect. Sayed also provided quality tours to visit Egyptian temples and monuments, including experienced guides and comfortable private transportation. Several tours are included, such as the Philae temple, Karnak temples, Luxor temple, Kom Ombo temple, and the Hatshepsut temple. The Abu Simbel was not included, but it was totally worth paying an extra fee to visit it. It was a pity that we could not take the hot air balloon because of the windy weather. From the beginning to the end, Sayed helped us organize our trip and took care of us. Highly recommended!”
