Run down communal areas and restaurant , average food , felt like a conference centre sometimes over a hotel. Needs renovation while maintaining historic features , if this was done tourists would pay a lot more ( look at historic Serena hotels )

The hotel is great in that it retains much of the traditional aspects of when it was built in the 1880’s ( ie dark wood panelling ). That said it could do with an upgrade of bathrooms and reception and dining areas which have a very 80’s look ( gloomy not very god restaurant too )- it’s a shame as if those were done up it could be spectacular. Service quite good. Restaurant so-so All said, I like historic buildings and for £70 a night it’s good value for European standards, though it’s run down and needs to be run better ( ie taken over by Serena hotels )

They need to improve the towels in the room routine. We arrived and there were no towels in the room ( not even one to wash your hands). The towels eventually arrived. Then the next day they disappeared- we stayed 3 nights. I think one cleaning department collects the dirty/ all room towels every day and another team brings fresh ones?? This creates a certain amount of towel anxiety as there might not be any for hours. We considered locking one towel in the safe so we could be sure to have one. In the end it was a bit comic…. However, no towel intervals were inconvenient and hopefully could be easily improved. The staff are very helpful.

Fabulous art deco building with a lovely garden. Lovely big rooms with comfy beds and buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Dinners were also buffets with lots of choice. Staff were very helpful.

While some staff were excellent, others let it down by being cold and dismissive to guests during check in. Also the level of English spoken by some of the restaurant staff is quite poor, so non-Pakistani guests might struggle to communicate like we did.

Comfortable room with charming decor in all areas of the hotel, excellent location and relatively good value for money when compared with international standards. The price of food in the restaurant is also very reasonable.

The outdoors need attention to beautify the scenery to a lush landscape. The stationary needs to be replaced. The management asked too many private questions that had the tone of an inquest.

A classic icon located in the heart of Lahore. Above-average cleanliness and support staff. Excellent location with an imperial touch. Will like to return when in Lahore.

The check-out time should be flexible till 2pm as the staff made it a compulsion to check out at 1pm, not a minute above 1 pm. The staff behaviour on the reception wasn't friendly or cooperative at all.

The health club - some better equipment to replace the current equipment there (treadmills, multigym) - poor quality considering the price point of the hotel. A larger section of dumbbell weights as well. TV cable reception was pretty bad. Considering the size of the room, the tv was very small.

I recommend there should b ac remote in room to adjust temperature on bed rather to wake up and walk to control panel to adjust temperature accordingly

All the staff room and facilities are fabulous ni doubt it's not only worth aboit money but also a harmony with the peace of mind thanks to whole staff and the management making my family stay comfort and peaceful

The housekeeping is not up to the standard I am used to in a 4 star hotel. There was a used tissue left in a drawer, toilet paper was forgotten on one day and a few items were not picked up off the floor from waste basket. Otherwise, it was clean.

The breakfast was very good with lots of choices. When I asked for something extra or special, this was accommodated. The room was spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed the ambiance and that it honours its illustrious past with the likes of Ava Gardner, Marlon Brando etc...
