Highly recommend the sunset camel ride and desert trek in the morning. Bedouin host was extraordinary he made our trip a memory of a lifetime.

The highlight of our trip to Oman. I had an unforgettable night at Stargazing Private Camp. The service was excellent, and the freshly prepared Omani food was delightful. The highlight was the breathtaking sky filled with stars, creating a magical atmosphere. I’ve had tears of joy. The calmness of the desert is one I will never forget and until this day I sometimes close my eyes to go back to that feeling of the deafening silence. The camp and our tent was just as how I imagined. Super authentic but still luxurious. Just how a night in the desert should be. With an open view of the desert, no other camps in sight. The surprise birthday cake added a personal touch, making it a truly special experience. The staff goes beyond to provide the most magnificent experience, which we will treasure for ever. Thank you for this unique and beautiful getaway.

the position, the layout of the 4 tents, never more than 8 people at any one time. only 4 on the 2 nights we were there. looked after magnificently by the two Campmen who couldn't have done more for us. Wide open skies, star gazing, incredible moonlight, peace and tranquility. Organised and run brilliantly by Hamid who drove us to and from the site. Morning trekking with Bader was definitely worth doing and we saw a scorpion, many lizards and the absolute highlight was the birth of a camel.

The place is amazing. Everything, scenery, comfort, hospitality. We have stayed for one night and I think it was great. If you plan to stay for 2 nights then you might find that there are no additional activities offered (like camel rides, quad bike, etc). This is a peaceful place for relaxation and dune viewing.

We would have enjoyed knowing more about the Bedouin’s experience in general - how they came to be in that location, etc. But we didn’t want to press or be nosey in our questions.

The location was amazing and the experience - from the night sky to the Bedouin family was exactly what we wanted for ourselves and our 20 month old. Dinner was traditional Omani while breakfast was more western but delicious. Our son played a lot with their kids, who were charming, warm and friendly.

Nothing - it was absolutely perfect

what an amazing place. If you want to experience the peace in the wilderness of the desert in a luxury tent, fabulous food and people that really care about the desert and environment then this is the place for you. Camp (unlike many of the other desert ‘camps)was on top of the dunes so sunset/sunrise spectacular and with 0 noise and light pollution the night sky was incredible. We lay on our backs watching shooting stars before retiring in comfort. There are only 4 tents in camp so you do get a real feel of the desert. The drive (40 mins into the desert) was an awesome experience too.

I have stayed with Starwatching Camp before and, while this stay was very nice, it didn't feel.like quite the same level of luxury and exclusivity as last time.

Just to find check-in / office of Hamad is not easy at all. The office description has to be much better, because google maps does not indicate the location.

The “Private camp” of Hamad is very personal, very nice situated in the desert, the inside of the tents reflects the traditions of Beduine in harmony with great taste. He has solar panels for the epecrticy, no plastic and the food was excellent (much too much) ! The drive to the camp was great too….

Amazing and unique location in the desert (top of the dunes, not in the "valley" as most other camps, enabling incredible sunrise and sunset views), paired with delicious meals. Osman was an amazing host. We loved it all.

Whole experience was very good, beautiful sunset and sunrise and a lot of stars to spot during the night. We loved the fact that it was a private camp in which you have the feeling to be alone in the desert (there was 1 other couple) - much better than in the big camps. Dinner and breakfast were amazing, we didn’t expect to have this good food in the middle of the desert. The host was super welcoming and friendly!

absolutely stunning place with such great people as host! the food was amazing, the bed was great, the tent was superb! everything was super well arranged without even mentioning the insane beauty of the dessert. also, we even received back money since there was a mistake in what we were charged.
