Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The tents are isolated from each other which is excellent. The drive to the camp was an adventure in itself.

The most incredible stay at Oman desert private camp. The accommodation is lovely and comfortable, the food is delicious and the staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best it can be. We felt so well looked after and absolutely loved our 3 nights here. To wake up and get out of your tent to see camels right outside in the amazing desert was such a cool experience. Highly recommend this place to anyone and cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and hospitality!!

NetherlandsEverything was perfect
This is an amazing camp, tucked away in the middle of the dunes, not too far from the town of Biddiyah. The hosts picked us up from a meeting point and drove us to the camp (you need a 4x4 to drive on your own there, and even then, best is to accept the hosts' invitation to guide you to the camp). The tents are propped on high pillars, so you get a magnificent view of the desert. The room and bathroom are clean and very functional. The food is fresh, delicious, homemade food. The hosts offer various activities, we tried camel riding, dune bashing and sand boarding, they were all a lot of fun. All activities take place in the evening or the morning, as it gets quite hot during the day. We spent the evening walking around the dunes, it's a very immersive and beautiful experience.

GermanyReally nothing!
Truely amazing desert experience, highly recommend! We spend for my husbands birthday two most magical nights in Alis camp! There was no better way we could have celebrated! I was surprised by how comfortable, generous, and clean the room was. We had the bungalow with whirlpool on terasse, which I highly recommend. The room offered AC, a big bathroom, and almost a 360-degree view over the dunes. It was also super clean! Over the day we could relax in the pool and enjoy the beautiful nature. The camp offers plenty of activities at reasonable prices. There is almost nothing that one could miss. Also, they will try best to tailor the activities to your needs. We did the sunset camel tour, quad bike, desert night hike, and sandboarding, which we enjoyed very much! Mr. Ali is also very generous - he surprised us with a private campfire as a birthday gift. He even offered his support to get a cake from town. Thank you so much. That was truly awesome and magical!! And lastly the food - what should I say, it was perfect. I didn't expect this huge variety of choices as we were in the desert. But I was wrong. :-D From omelets to pastry to a big variety of fruits, Omani dishes, and (really tasty) BBQ, there was really everything that we could wished for. We booked half-board, but the camp also offered snacks and drinks over the day for free! So please don't hesitate, promise this is the right choice. :D

AustraliaI had to drive quite a way into town on half inflated tyres to find someone to pump them back up for me. Would have been great if the accommodation could do it for you when back at the meet up point.
Great accommodation in the desert! I drove myself out there and was pretty worried as I'd never driven in sand (or used a 4wd) before but they showed me how and deflated my tyres for me to help distribute the car's weight. The campsite had about 13 sites (half tents and half glamping) so it wasn't the smallest but far from big. The staff were great and they offer a range of activities. I went dune bashing at sunset which was awesome! Amer (my driver) was great at taking photos and took heaps of me in the dunes - so handy for solo travellers. I stayed one night which was enough for a solo traveller in April (it would be too hot to stay out there all day unless you really like the heat). Tent was hot in the day but there were fans that worked on solar power. I had full 4G reception on Renna Mobile. The sites were in a good location (away from other campsites). Would have been great stargazing if it wasn't completely overcast. Would definitely recommend!

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn’t like. It might be helpful for others to know that you have to bring your own toiletries as these aren’t provided.
This was the perfect location and setup for 2 nights in the desert. The camp is on top of the dunes so you get a great view of the surrounding desert. We stayed in a traditional tent and enjoyed even being able to sleep out under the stars on one of the nights! The food was fantastic with such generous portion sizes. The staff were all so friendly. Ahmed organised a series of trips/activities for us: dune bashing at sunset, a morning trip into the desert, sand boarding, and a campfire. All of these activities were fun and memorable. If you’re looking for a traditional/authentic experience (rather than a bigger ‘resort’ style one), this is the perfect place!

A small camp, very well spread out with plenty of space and great views. The restaurant area has drinks you can help yourself to, fruit and cakes. The views from there are great and there are the options of sun lounges or hanging chairs to chilling. Food was excellent, well worth the money and plenty of it. We did a camel ride at sunset and the 3 hours in the desert, both were great. We also had some downtime which was wonderful, very peaceful to sit and relax. We had a tent as we wanted a more authentic experience and we were impressed, they even have a mattress you can put outside and sleep on the balcony under the stars.
