The detail of what is available in the room was incorrect. The internet states the rooms have sofa beds but this was not the case. The hotel has no money exchange but when you walk in it shows exchange rates. Some staff said they do it and others say they do not. Booking via booking.com gave us access to the flavours lounge. I had to ask for access. I only used it once as some staff said they did not have it, others said tea is available in the restraunt or it is not in use. The information was different from each staff. It woul be nice to have a card to access this when ever we wanted but I had to ask at reception and the staff let me in and came back half hour later to clean up and asked if we have finished. It felt like they hotel did not want us to use the room and this was a selling point via booking.com

The staff were very nice and the hotel was in an ideal location. The hotel was very clean and customer service was very good. It would be nice if the hotel had contacts for customers to do activities. I would go back to this hotel again

The bathrooms need updating. Whatever I did there was water on the floor after a shower. Breakfast was always the same - a bit more variety would be nice. Location is far from the sights of Muscat, but there are few hotels in the centre.

Good value for a suite, giving more room to relax. Good selection of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Close to a bus stop to go into the centre.

The rooms are a bit dated, but they are large, clean and comfortable. With check in we had to wait about an hour for our room to be ready. It was national weekend so very busy. After reading the policy, I saw there are only a 1 hour gap for room turnover. I suggest that this be changed. At most hotels everywhere you need to check out at 12pm and you are able to check in by 3pm, this gives 3 hours for turnover. Small adjustmensts will make it easier on the staff that needs to get the rooms ready to not be stressed with loads of people waiting and shouting and being unhappy. I do also believe that guests need to be respectful of the hotel and check out on time so the rooms can be turned over on time. It is a 2-way street. A smile on your face and some patience gets you a long way.

The property was not too far away from the areas we wanted to explore. This property has so much potential, and if you are friendly to the staff they will go above and beyond for you. Yassed was polite and helped me with some requests like getting me a wifi password so I can join a meeting online. Tony was great and really went the extra mile. It was extremely busy when we checked in, but we eventually got our room sorted. Breakfast was nice and they had a good selection of pastries, fruit and hot foods.

I have been to this hotel since 2016. Although the name has been change, the spirit remain the same, the staff are so friendly and I like how they still remember me 😹. the location is amazing you are so close to many option as Oman Avenues, Grand mall. Also, around you have close supermarket and resturants. My room was at the 7th floor and I enjoyed staying there. It was so confortable..

It was during the UAE national day holiday. We had booking confirmation thru Booking.com. However when we reached hotel it was over booked and there was slight confusion on the bookings. However we had to wait for 3 hours late night to get the booking confirmed and allocation of the rooms. But then Mr. Paul, Mr. Yazeed and the reception personal was very supportive and provided us the rooms as per the booking. We were also provided with complimentary breakfast as compensation for the waiting and late night difficulty. Hat's off and thanks for the full support. Enjoyed staying at this hotel. Highly recommended.

1, only one bathroom for a family accomodation is a set back 2, there should be a stove for a family accomodation 3, tv was not working for 70% of the time 4, the second bedroom was right in front of the main door.no privacy

Visitors from Europe should be aware that taxes , etc. are added to the hotel restaurant menu prices listed resulting in a higher bill than expected . Otherwise we could not fault anything else in our stay here , our included in the room breakfast was a really good choice of foods .

This was our first visit to Muscat city and the country of Oman , we received a warm welcome at The Garden Hotel , our room was pleasant and clean . We ate locally that afternoon and stayed in our room for the evening , the TV was a bit random but the staff quickly fixed that . In the morning we found the over the bath shower was not working . The hotel engineer came to try and fix the problem , unsuccessfully , and we were offered a new room . We accepted and were taken to a better grade room ( which we thought was very nice of them) and we spent our 2 remaining nights there . The general manager heard of this and was very concerned but we assured him everything had been dealt with quickly and efficiently . The hotel is very clean and smart , the staff were all very helpful giving ideas of where to go and how to get there sensibly . It is very hot there in October and we used local taxis that were quite reasonable and also the Muscat bus to get back from Mutrah to the hotel . We found the Omani people friendly and helpful wherever we went . As we only had 2 days we stayed locally in the city visiting the Souq in Mutrah along with a very interesting nearby museum which was a house in 1970's Omani style . On our second day went to the Royal Opera House (recommended by the hotel staff ) which was an amazing building and surrounds - do not miss it ! - we also went through the mall over the bridge to the excellent music interactive exhibition which was again fascinating . On our last evening we went to the local area outside the hotel where there are many reasonably priced eating establishments offering Omani , Arabic , Turkish and Indian cuisines , we ate in a Turkish restaurant used by locals and had good food at reasonable prices. A special mention for our Philippino lady who was breakfast manager whilst we were there and the Omani lady on reception both of whom we found most welcoming and helpful.

Fatma at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Both at check in and check out. Was given a glass of juice a check in which was a nice touch. The room itself was quite large, and the bed was very comfortable.
