The room could be easily improved by some simple and cheap fixes (e.g. a bedside lamp would be useful).

The hotel is exactly in the middle of the center of Sur. The staff is very helpful, and especially the receptionist is very friendly and welcoming.

The location of the hotel was great, right near the souk, supermarket, coffee shops and a walk to the corniche. The staff were kind and helpful. It was good to have plenty of car parking right near the hotel. The hotel was good value for the price. The rooms were clean with plenty of hot water.

Conveniently located, with easy parking, Sur Hotel was an ok place to stay for a night. The manager was friendly and it was quite good value for the price.

There are many things that one can want from a hotel, but it is one star hotel.

First - For one star hotel it has it all. Second - It is one of the cheapest places in Sur. It was clean, personnel was smiled, friendly and genuine. It has a vibe.

Within a minute’s walk of the souk and 5 minutes from the beach. The room was large and clean, and great value for money. The staff were always very smiley !

Great little hotel in the center of Sur, very clean, perfect if you want a nice place from where to explore the area. Dinner at the Sur Seafood Restaurant behind the hotel is highly recommended.

Bathrooms are not comfortable.

Reception was nice and helpful. They even provided a fully equipped baby bed. Rooms are tiny but clean. No breakfast or tea/coffee however.

Ceiling very low, especially in the toilet, AC and fridge were making too much noise, no even bottle of water as a complimentary drink and the price and many cockroaches around.

Bedroom: 3/4 of way across room the floor dropped. They covered it with a carpet so EVERYTIME.you walked to far side of room you jarred your back as the floor dropped 6inches Breakfast average and charged it on top the f room bit randomly; so checking out was confusing. Shower had a rain shower, but it was broken and water poured out of side so it was useless Bathroom floor flooded as shower was integral

I was given the wrong room type when I paid for a bigger room. This only came to light when I unpacked and tried to lock the room door with the key for the room I should have had. I was given the option of moving to the correct room but I said i did not want to pack my case again. I should have however been offered an apology and maybe a partial refund for the inferior room type but this never happened. Disappointing, spoilt my stay there.

Location was perfect, couldn't be more central, very close to the traditional suq and at 1 minute walking distance from the bus stop (with buses going to Muscat). Staff was extremely friendly. I went on an excursion to Wadi Bani Khalid and the Desert with Nasser and he took care of a wonderful expedition. Great value for money.

If you look for museums and historical places just round the corner - this is not the location. But if you have a car or you like walking or experience an everyday life of a busy city - its perfect.

Although ranked one star, the hotel is very clean, with very helpful staff, conveniently located close to suque and the beach. The breakfast was very good, very fresh with good coffee, fresh pressed orange juice , omlet, sausages, a small beef burger and vegetables. Hot tosts and jam. Everything yummy and plenty! Very good internet connection. Just a perfect place to explore Sur and its surroundings! The suque is just on the other side of the street but it is very quiet in the rooms.
