The location is stunning, perfect spot to enjoy the sunset on the dunes and a starry night by the campfire. Hamood and Khalid are the perfect hosts, they make you feel at home and spoil you with good food. Highly recommended!

We had the most beautiful time at Hamood desert camp. We were picked up for a small charge from a meet up point by Khalid who was very friendly and brought us to the camp stopping for some camel cuddle on the way and welcomed us with Omani coffee and dates. The camp was located on a beautiful dune, in a quiet area and was very well-equiped. The tents are very comfortable, have a private bathroom which has a toilet, shower (also with warm water) and a sink. The dinner and breakfast were delicious but the real highlight were the kind and hospitable people who take care of the camp and guests. The lovely camp owner, Hamood even brought a cake for my birthday which was completely unexpected and was a wonderful surprise that I will rememeber for the rest of my life! Thank you so much Hamood and I am sure we will return to your unique desert camp!

Hamood is very welcoming. Spacious tents with real beds. Bathroom a bit basic but you can take a hot shower. We did a really nice jeeptour in the desert. Best food in Oman with absolutely stunning view! Only 4 tents, we were alone and Hamood took very good care of us. Thank you again for your hospitality! We had a great time!!

My sister and I had an incredible road trip through Oman, with the highlight being our 2 day stay at Hamood Desert Local Camp. From the warm welcome to the impeccable accommodation and delicious meals, everything was exceptional. Hamood ensured every detail was perfect. During the day, Hamood guided us through the desert, sharing insights about the landscape and treating us to thrilling dune bashing experiences. We even had memorable encounters with many camels along the way. Evenings were magical, with campfires, traditional Omani coffee, and Hamood’s mesmerizing guitar performance under the stars. Hamoud's hospitality made us feel like family, and it was hard to say goodbye. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable desert adventure with him. Highly recommended!

Very nice stay in the desert camp. No other tourists were there, so we had a private bedoin camp experience. Khaled our camp guide told us about all aspects of bedoin desert life. There are a lot of activities possible. From ATV and 4x4 drive, Camel Ride and Camel race, as well star watching. Hamod, Khaled, there colleagues and cook were very kind and helpfull.

Everything was perfect. The location was stunning, Khalid and Hamood were very kind and accommodating. Nothing was ever a problem for them. You can chill in the rest/dining area or choose to do one of plenty activities which are available. We stayed 2 nights and it's the perfect length to enjoy the desert fully.

It was the nicest experience ever! Hamood and his nephew Khalid were really the best :) Strongly recommend! We've experienced campfire, stories about the stars (told by Hamood himself), a very good dinner and breakfast (cooked with heart). We also toom trip by camels under the stars and it was one of the best experiences ever. Don't hesitate, book your tent on Hamood camp!

Great location, not many other tents around. The beds are super comfortable. Hamood and his nephew Khalid are great. Very hospitatable guys. We could go sandboarding, had a campfire and looked into the stars with a telescope. Great experience for a good price.

Hamood was a wonderful host ! Friendly, helpful and talkative! He made an exceptional effort to make us feel welcome. The place was comfortable, clean and with a great atmosphere. It’s placed deeper in the desert yet within a possible reach of the 4x4 car. Next to the great dunes on which you can take a fantastic fotos on the sunset !

I had an absolutely fantastic stay. The tent was even more comfortable than most hotel rooms I've stayed in so far. Hamood and his staff are the most welcoming people making sure you're feeling at home. Food was great, activities were fun and the best thing was the location, as the camp was further inside the desert than the other ones. Less people, no trash, more freedom - worth every penny.

If I could, I would give this place 12 out of 10! Of all the stunning places we visited in Oman, this one was the most special one and we still miss this camp, Mr Hamood and Mr Khalid! Unlike most of other camps, this camp is on top of the dune, which gives you amazing views and walk possibilities. The tents are big and beds are comfortable. The food is DELICIOUS, really well done to the cook, we ate so well. Mr Hamood is extremely kind, smart and generous. We spent a lot of time talking about the desert, culture, its people... also the activities you can do are great and we 100% recommend them. We did camel rides for both sunset and under the stars, as well as the morning camel racing track visit and we loved it! Thank you Khalid, for showing us around! You cannot go wrong with this camp. I only hope that one day I will be able to go back and meet Mr Hamood again!

Excellent welcome by Hamood and his nephew, in a very comfortable, small camp. Excellent meal and evening by the campfire. Various activities on offer, including a camel ride in the dunes at night. Very good bedding.

It’s about 20 mns in from the beginning of the desert. It’s very quiet , it was what we were looking for. We did have dinner and breakfast and the food was simple and good.

Hamoods camp was an absolute pleasure to stay in. We had a very spacious tent/room to stay in with an authentic decor. The food was amazing, especially the lentils and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Anything we needed, Hamood and his team were there to help. Honestly, it was the highlight of the trip and provided such a pleasant stay. Couldn’t have asked for a better service. We did many activities and he catered to our last minute decision’s. Thank you Hamood!

Everything was fine. Maybe the only thing missing is some bathroom amenities such as shampoo and soap. Luckily I had my own, so it was not an issue.

There are more camps with more facilities and better prices, but if you are looking for an excellent service and have the best experience in the desert, this is your place. Hamood is a really nice person and fully dedicated to his business, he makes the everything possible to make you feel good. The dinner and breakfast have an additional cost but it is a fair price. it was so delicious, in special the dinner, traditional home made omani food cooked by ahmood's wife. Additionally Hamood share the dinner with you and can have a nice local conversation. Hamood also does a small fire at night with tee with all the guest, it is a special moment before going to sleep. The tent is very comfortable, the shower has a good pressure.

Hamood is the perfect host and his camp is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Because the camp only has 4 tents, it is very private. The dinner was absolutely delicious, too! You can book several activities while staying there. We did the sunset dune bashing and the night walk through the desert. Both activities were amazing. I highly recommend staying with Hamood, while traveling to Oman. I will definitely come back. Shukran Hamood!
