Food was great in terms of prices and quality. Setting and accessibility to the surrounding areas is outstanding, as were the staff and their guidance for the area. The Peak coffee shop was a pleasant surprise and a great addition to the trip.

The rooms didn't have face towels or bath mats. Beds were a bit small same for the duvet size. More toiletries are needed when you have 2 guests.

The view is amazing, the cafe downstairs is cool, the breakfast is decent. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

The hotel has seen better days and could use some maintenance, particularly the bathroom. The hotel coffee shop had been redone, and it looked very modern and new, but the rest of the hotel could use some touches, too.

We booked this place for the view, and in that sense, it met our expectations. The hotel staff was great and helped us with everything we needed. There was a heated pool at the edge of the balcony, which looked amazing, but we were not brave enough to use it. We were there during the storm in the gulf and got stuck for an extra half day before we could get off the mountain. The manager was very attentive and helped us with information and making arrangements for our next booked trip. We also really enjoyed our dinner (Indian cuisine) and buffet-style breakfast

My one-night stay at Sama Hotel was exceptional. The service was excellent. I was get a room upgrade to a astonishing mountain view, together with complimentary breakfast. The room was quite spacious with great amenities, including a small fridge. The highlight was the various bloom roses in hotel area and room balcony with panoramic views, perfect for relaxing. I can sit there for hours and enjoy the view. Overall, an excellent experience exceeding expectations. Highly recommended

The staff are amazing, they upgraded my room to a mountain view and they explained to me what to do in the area also allowed for a late checkout. Seriously amazing people. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view from the balcony. Great value too.

Some food smell from the corridor occasionally would sneak into the room from the corridor in the morning. I stayed the 2nd floor.

Ensure you get the room with the direction to the mountain. Breathtaking views from the room. Impeccable rooms, very kind staff.

Our room could do with a needed upgrade. We had some very load people with children on our floor who were running around and screaming down the corridors till well after midnight. Not fault of the staff but they didn't seem to mind at all. We only had breakfast here but wasn't the best we had in Oman.

There isn't much in the way of restaurants around the hotel but dinner is available there or at other hotels. There isn't much else to do of an evening, we watched a good film in the room!!!

The view from our room on the 3rd floor was absolutely amazing, room comfortable and clean, bathroom a bit dark. The pool was heated but we didn't use it. Buffet dinner was available but we couldn't wait until 7pm (wish we had) and ate at a local restaurant. There was something for everyone at breakfast. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. It's well located for local walks.

The breakfast was terrible. Really need to do better. I could not eat half the items, fruit was clearly from cans and bread was cheap and old. Chefs do not know how to cook.

Sama is ok. We had the chalet house which had no view, but it was still a good option given that you can view the canyon a short 30 second walk away. The room was massive and plenty of space. However, we took a day pass and went to Anantara for the day which is a million times better, but also costs 10X as much. Use this place as a camp site and enjoy anantara and the local sites from here. The price is reasonable and it has a good view.

Loacation, location, location and friendly staff

One of the best location in jabal akhdar, very friendly staff. Breakfast was good too. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset and sunrise at the hotel. Like the mention the hari paraad on the front desk, he was so polite and cooperative.
