Breakfast time (7-9) is too early. Also, would have appreciated an internet connection as we needed to communicate with our family.

Despite being in the desert, this camp is easily accessible by car. It is a perfect choice if you (like us) travel with babies and want to stay close to the main road. Staff was nice and helpful.

Everything was perfect...but the bed made a lot of noises, which made my sleep bad. It kinda destroyed my great feeling from the property.

Excellent service, tasty food and cosy atmosphere in the room as well as a dinning area outside. Walk up to the dunes next to the property was nice, but if you are looking for an amazing experience in desert, this probably cannot offer the same as camps deeper in the dunes. But this camp is easily accessible by 2x4 car!

All the staff was very professional, the room is cute with beautiful décoration, very clean and big. The bathroom was very good also. The terrasse was perfect to see the view and enjoy of outside! The dîner and breakfast were very good and the place to eat is perfect. There is a place to see a beautiful sunrise in the dunes at 20min by walk from the camp. Amazing expérience!

There are sand dunes right behind the place and you can easily go there to watch the sunrise and the sunset. It's a very beautiful place. The staff were very helpful and the service was great. We really enjoyed our stay and had a memorable time.

SamA Al Areesh was a lovely place to get the Omani desert experience. The huge sand dune behind the cottages is picturesque and the food was incredible. The staff was kind and helpful. We arrived at night and it was dark which is lovely for the full desert experience but made parking a bit stressful. We only stayed one night so sadly did not partake in any activities.

More Omani presence - this is our third Sama hotel and we love them but they distinctly lack an Omani feel of hospitality. This is my only negative comment.

Easy access from the road as my mother wasn’t able to walk or travel easily and this suited our needs. Great dining and seating area to relax and have views and the rooms were perfect with an en-suite bathroom and beautifully simply laid out. We were kindly taken on a drive up to the sand dunes when we asked at short notice, which was excellent!

Camp is easily reached from the highway, no 4x4 required. While the camp is located at the very edge of the desert (hence it does not become completely dark), it does allow you to enjoy the desert experience fully. Camel tour and dune bashing can be booked upon arrival, but since we already did those activities at other places, we decided to simply enjoy the sunrise on the high dune just behind the camp, and do some (free) sandboarding, which was a lot of fun. Staff was very welcoming and helpful; dinner and breakfast were definitely ok; coffee/tea/water were freely available all the time; the cabins were fully equipped with private bathroom and very clean. We can certainly recommend this accommodation.

Everything was perfect. I cannot recommend more this place. The food was better cooked than in many restaurants and the plates were very generous. The personnel was so kind and available, they make sure that you have the best stay possible. The location is very accessible with car without a 4×4. The main road going through the desert is in front of the hotel so you just have to park your car-no need for pick up by 4x4. The room was also amazing, very clean and big and the shower was great. If you are looking for a place to stay in the desert which is easily accessible, and in which you want to make sure that you stay will be memorable, I fully recommend this place. Many thanks to the great team and the cook for the great quality of the food.

We were the only guests except for a guy from Australia, as we are currently travelling off-season. It was very quiet and peaceful, the staff was considerate and the food good, traditional and more than enough.

Sink was clogged immediately upon check in. However, the property did fix it immediately.

Amazing cosy camp, would recommend. easily acessible by any car, even mini cooper can reach it. The hosts was extremely hospitable. The camp is silent ay night, the chalets are very cosyclean with AC. Beds were comfortable. Behind the camp ste the dunes, some hiking needed, but 15-20 min and you are into silent desert. The dinner cost 8 riyal oer capita, expensive but delicious.

Charming accommodation in a quiet and beautiful place of the desert. You are on top of the dune but it is very easy to reach by car. The room is like a cabin very cozy with private bathroom, everything is very clean, and the staff is very kind and helpful. The zone for the meals is beautiful, with a chill out place, and the food is abundant and delicious. It's a wonderful place to stay, we recommend it and we will come back for sure.
