The place is great, simple, clean and with detail. You can really relax and enjoy the atmosphere in the desert. Our guide was perfect, he answered all our questions, he was funny, helpful and interested in everyone. Thanks so much for your hospitality, we really had a wonderful time. The food was also good and the ginger tea was my little highlight 😉 100% recommend staying at the nomadic desert camp if you are looking for a more traditional and personal place.

The only thing we would have appreciated during our activities is to receive more information regarding the desert and the bedouin life, we found that was a missed opportunity. Other than that it's a 10/10

The camp is located not too close from the nearest village, offering an immersive desert experience. The tents are spacious, clean and nicely decorated and so is the dining area. The staff is helpful, kind and efficient and agreeing pick up was really easy. The buffet was generous with a good and tasty selection of food. The camp offers activities like camel riding and dune safari. We enjoyed both very much. The greatest plus of this camp is that, compared to other structures who might have more of a hotel feel, gives the travellers a authentic and close to nature experience. We would go back and we will recommend it to family and friends.

Extraordinary camp, with amazing hosts. Highly recommended! It is a family ran camp, one of the first to open in the area. It is ran by two really hospitable brothers with a great sense of humour, who made sure we had an amazing stay with our two year old. The camp provides a really authentic experience, where the guests can enjoy the starry sky in complete silence while still being comfortable in an impeccably clean camp. The camp is located at a good distance in the desert, unlike some of the camps that we saw along the way which were really close to the road and from where you could hear the traffic. We had a sunset ride in the dunes and a camel ride in the morning, and our hosts made sure our little one can join and enjoy himself. They also provided a baby cot and yummy food.

We really liked the comfortable little rooms we slept in. The location was also really good. A bit further into the desert than some of the other camps we drove past on the way there. The camel ride and sunset walk in the dunes were also really good.

There is no hot water, so if you take a shower better to do it during the day. The food wasn’t super tasty..

Great location in the desert. The hut are very simple but cosy. It’s also nice to be able to walk to the sand dunes for the sunrise / sunset. The host and staff are all very kind. It was great to have a nice warm tea while watching the stars. They also propose many activities for the guests.

Unlike the other camps in the area, Nomadic desert camp is really surrounded by sand dunes. The camp is very authentic. The facilities are all clean and tidy.

We really don't have any requirements, but the mattresses in the huts are as hard as stone. :D We had the most uncomfortable night there during our round trip. We would have liked to sit together even more in the evening with traditional music and nice conversations. But that was probably also down to the guests, everyone did their own thing here.

We stayed in this camp for one night. It is very simple, but traditional. We had breakfast and dinner, both very tasty and rather traditionally simple. If you don't book any other activities, you just enjoy your time on site. The crew is very friendly and helpful. The road to the camp is very easy, but you need a 4x4 with four-wheel drive. Or you can book a transfer.

The camp is in a fairly secluded area about 20 km into the desert. We had a 4x4 and met up with the host at a location in Al Wasil. It was there that we had our tyre pressure adjusted and where we set off from into the camp following the host's car. The camp consists of huts constructed out of palm trees. The showers and toilets are shared and located within the camp a short distance from most huts. They were well kept and clean. After reaching the camp in the afternoon we set off by foot to view a beautiful sunset. Dinner was an open buffet and was delicious. The evening proceeded with a gathering around an open fire, the hosts served tea and played music, sang and danced. Please note there is no electricity so charge your phones beforehand (and preferably turn them off on reaching the camp to fully enjoy the experience distraction-free :-)) We highly recommend this camp!!

Not cheap, but definitely very pleasant stay - nice, magic, rustical place, all facilities and food sufficient indeed, guys running the camp professional, really different experience. 10-15 min walk above camp goats and (some)cute camels.

This was a fabulous stay with incredibly friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to make sure everything was as we wanted it. Lying beside a fire looking at the stars in the silence of the desert is a memory we will keep forever. The food was delicious, and the 2 hour sunset camel ride was simply fabulous. We can't recommend this desert camp enough!

There is no hot water in the camp, even in the shower. With so much sun available it is easy to heat up water. So probably you would give up evening shower in winter months for sure. Food ok, but nothing special, especially breakfast, limited options. In general we think price is too high, even considering remote location.

I think the best location in the area, calm, at the end of the valley, with great views, very limited car traffic around. Camp itself very nice, especially common area, where all eat and meet, there is a tent, place for a fire, we really enjoyed this. Location of the camp on google maps is very precise and it is easy to get there, however you need 4x4 to get through sand. No internet in the camp, no gsm internet as well, if you need LTE, you have to climb the dune. :) Omani coffee available all the time, dates as well. :)

Everything has been perfect. The staff is very nice, chatty but never intrusive; dinner and breakfast are a nice buffet, but you are offered dates, coffee, tea, hawla all day/night long. The room is small but tidy and the common bathrooms were always clean.
