The Wifi in the room was a bit slow, it was good in the restaurant and reception area but there was a lot of ambient noise there. They could do with a business lounge with good internet and a quiet atmosphere.

I like the old feel of the hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The area was great, nice busy street with "coffee shops" and so on. An overall good experience.

Mutrah is nice location for an introduction to Oman. Harbour and mountain are nearby, with also nice place for dinner time.

a hotel with all the necessities you need in a good location. our room had a great view on the mountains. especially great is the staff. Bernard was so kind and friendly. the airline lost my luggage, which was a disaster, and he was so helpful and supportive. he helped me with that throughout our entire trip, even when we didn’t even stay at their hotel anymore. they also gave us a free late checkout.

We were given a very large room, clean and comfortable. The location of the property is very convenient if you want to stay in Muttrah, it is located at about 10 minutes walking distance from the Souk, the Fish Market and from the Corniche. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a nice breakfast at the hotel bar/restaurant. Highly recommended hotel.

There was not a thing I disliked about Mutrah Hotel.

The location is as close to the old city as you will find. I could walk to all of the sights and attractions in the old city. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. My room 302, had perfect air conditioning. A very quiet hotel and the breakfast was superb. Everything was delicious...could not have been better. If you want to stay in the historical area of Muscat this spot is perfect. The price at Mutrah Hotel is in the lower range for Muscat but don't let that dissuade you...this spot is tops in value. This cannot be called a disadvantage, but there is a mosque nearby and the first morning prayer is at about 5 am. These prayers did not bother us; we slept peacefully with open windows. But if this is an inconvenience for you, then ask for a room on the street side, and not in the courtyard.

In terms of price, comfort and location, this is the best option in Muscat. All the main attractions, the embankment, restaurants, supermarkets, a colorful traditional market, and a bus station to the airport are within walking distance. Large and comfortable rooms, fast internet, sufficient breakfast.

In the bathroom, there was no electricity for my electric razor. Kind hard to shave.

The breakfast looked like it was buffet style. But it wasn't. It was other people picking my food and not picking what I wanted to eat.

Great Value for money hotel in a good location. The buffet breakfast was my fav meal on the trip but when they didn’t have the buffet the following days that was my last fav meal (plastic food) Overall great very happy would come back!

I stayed here two nights on a 32 hour stopover in Muscat. This is the oldest hotel in Muscat. I arrived at about 2am and left at about 6.30am the next day. I slept in for breakfast on the first day and when I was leaving on the 2nd day at 6.30 the staff kindly (although I didn't ask for it) offered to make me an earlier breakfast in takeaway form which I thought was absolutely lovely and much appreciated because it was before the kitchen had even opened. The room was spacious and comfy with a big window and nice shower. Taxi to other areas was not expensive and easy to get on the street. I would definitely stay here again.

There is no sitting chair in room and cloth stand is not available in the balcony. Also, I have booked for single seperate room but they provided me shared room with locked door in between as a partition which is not at all acceptable.
