There wasn't really a restaurant - and the related restaurant next door is a little pricey - but still nice.

The location was incredible - right across from the entrance to the historic Nizwa fort.

They are undergoing a renovation and understandably were in a transition period whilst we stayed. There was also a national emergency in Oman due to a storm and lots of rain - this caused minor leaks through some aircon units in the building (our room was unaffected) - but this was an unusual circumstance!

Nizwa is an incredible city and worth a visit. This hotel is excellently located - although there is no designated parking they did guide me to an off-street space they have which they let me park in. I had recently proposed and the staff went above and beyond to surprise my girlfriend with some romantic lights, rose petals and heart shaped towels. The owner is a talented water colour painter and we purchased one as a souvenir of Nizwa.

Pay attention if you parked at a paid parking lot around the town. The fee should be paid once parked, not afterwards.

The location was superb! It was so close to the souq and there were lots of lovely places to go to eat. It was just across the road from the entrance to the fort. The rooms were large and spacious and had wonderful views of the fort and mosque dome and minaret. We hope to be able to return sometime.

We had a wonderful stay at Durrat Hotel which is located in the centre of Nizwa by the beautiful fort. The accommodation is new and very comfortable, it is close to all landmarks and offers a nice breakfast nearby. The staff were absolutely lovely, very kind and professional. Made the experience very welcoming and pleasant. They even brought a cake for my partner’s birthday which was a very special memory that we will cherish. Thank you for our great time at Durrat, we will return to the hotel in the future!

Though it was okay that the bathroom did not open from the room, bathroom itself was not in a very good shape. The moveable shower head did not work, and the tiles were a dirty and chipped. There was also a smell in there in every part of the day. There could also be an extra pair of pillows. And there were no electric outlets except for the one by the door. The restaurant at the top was very expensive and also way too european. If someone goes to such a traditional place as Nizwa it is unlikely they wish to eat ceazar salad. They were out of anything that was slightly arabic on the menu.

Awesome location, very clean room, beautiful paintings and design. There was an actual artist in the hotel at all times who did the paintings in the hotel, and we could watch him paint. First hotel in Oman where I got enough towels. ❤️ Very comfortable bed.

When you use a shower - complete bath room is wet. Shower is not divided on toilet and sink.

It doesn’t have its own restaurant and parking outside of the hotel is very limited, with only 6 spots which are opened to all public not just the hotel guests

Location is very good, it was just near the castle door. Room was clean and has enough size. Beds are comfortable. Top floor cafe's morning view was beautiful.

The terrasse is pretty but reserved to the restaurant and it can get noisy for the rooms of the 2nd floor. The breakfast is served in another hotel, yet it was good in a nice courtyard.

It's amazing apartments, with magnificent view on the Fort, very authentic. We did hundreds of photos inside. Very recommend a Painter that helped to make this place so unique.

The hotel is located directly opposite to the Fort entrance in Nizwa. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped and very clean and the hotel has a nice roof terrace restaurant which overlooks the Fort and adjacent mosque.

The location was perfect, just across Nizwa fort. There is a large free parking nearby. Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and cosy. All the sights are short walking distance from the hotel which is great
